Bottega’s food is authentic and most of the staff is Italian, they are very hospitable and knowledgeable about the menu. If I lived here, it would come at least once a week. Eggplant Parmesan is the best I have ever tried statewide. Flavor profile of the dish was the perfect melody savory and umuni, creamy and tangy.
Restuarant has quality ingredients and willing to accommodate vegetarians.

Bottega is one of my all-time favorite spots in San Francisco. Every time I land, this is the first meal I have to get.
The truffle mushroom ravioli is unreal—easily one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Their tiramisu is amazing too (when they haven’t sold out, which happens often on weekends). This time, I tried the limoncello mascarpone cheesecake, and it completely blew my mind. I hate lemons, and this dessert somehow made me fall in love with them.
Great appetizers, drinks to die for, and a super cute, aesthetic space. Bottega never disappoints. ✨

Their mushroom truffle pizza is a must-try! The mozzarella and truffle was magic on first bite. I added arugula and anchovy in mine which made it even more bomb. Love their “build your own” pizza and pasta concept and the open seating made me feel like being in Europe.

Granting this a 5-star review here with one caveat, the waiters could be a little more friendly.
We’ve been twice now. We are from the PNW but we frequent SFCA. We like the food and the vibe of the city… Bottega is no exception.
Our first time, we came in for espresso martinis. Lord, those were delish! The bartender was so friendly, engaging, joked with us and had a legitimate good time. We really appreciated him.
Came back the next night for dinner. It was cool outside but we took an outdoor table. Our waiter took drink orders. While we waited for the drinks, the waiter for the table next to us passed by… we asked for the outdoor heater to be turned on (we were extremely polite). He literally huffed at us and reluctantly turned it on. We thanked him and he ignored the gratitude. Nice looking guy, 20s, tats, crisp white shirt, looked professional but certainly didn’t act like it.
Food was excellent. All four of us got a different pasta that we thoroughly enjoyed. Drinks were strong and on-point. Wait was a little long but that can be overlooked when considering the quality of food.
Service was great, unfortunately our wonderful waiter was shaded by his coworker who had a bit of attitude.
After nearly 25 years in customer service and patient care… let me recommend one thing… don’t let your teammates ruin your patron’s (potentially) perfect experience. You may not be our waiter but your actions are observed.

Unfortunately, I had a pretty bad experience here. First, our server took so long to greet us that we had to ask one of the busboys to track them down. On top of that, the group at the table next to us had a guy who was laughing and drinking water, and ended up spitting on us. They didn’t even apologize, which was really frustrating. At that point, we wanted to leave, but since we had already ordered, we stayed. Now, about the food, how do you mess up the thing you specialize in? Our pasta came out completely raw, not undercooked, but raw. After all that, I’m not sure I would come back.

We came across the restaurant on our way to an event. Had an appetizer and a pasta entree to share. Good quality food. Highly recommend the parma. A plus for their house focaccia bread.

I absolutely adore this place! I walked in and immediately felt like I was transported to Italy. The gentleman that seated my friend and I was so kind and welcoming. All of the wait staff were helpful attentive throughout our dinner.
The food was excellent! We got the pizza with Kalamata olives on top and we had a make-your-own pasta (both vegetarian). The drinks were amazing, too! All in all, this place was reasonably priced as well. I left full!
Would highly recommend. I will definitely be taking a trip back here to try more items on the menu.

We had such a nice time having dinner at the Bottega last night! Sara and all the staff were extremely helpful, kind, & attentive. Sara recommended the Guancile pizza and the Oxtail pasta and we loved every bite! They also have amazing complimentary bread on the table! Loved it can’t wait to go back!

A solid authentic Italian eatery. Pasta is freshly made daily. We had the truffle croquettes and fried calamari to start. Both were good. The calamari was a bit chewy. I had the Potato Gnocchi with Vodka Pink sauce. It’s hard to find great Gnocchi, this one was very good. Soft with a slight bite. The pink sauce was mild, but all I tasted was the parmesan cheese which made it a bit salty. The portions were large, more than I could eat. The service was excellent. Seating was available, but it was busy.

Grab the late lunch here with my spouse and two kids. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was gorgeous. The food unfortunately wasnt as great. They bring free focaccia to the table but it was undercooked and doughy. The pasta sauces were fairly bland and one-note. Bright tomato but not much else. The pasta itself was a little undercooked but preferable to overcooked. The meatballs were tasty but the kids pizza was undercooked like the focaccia. Overall I would try again and give another shot, but a little surprised by the rating. Not a bad spot, though.
