Botiwalla by Chai Pani is chef Meherwan Irani’s homage to his life-long love of kababs, Irani Cafes, and the late night street food scene of India.With Chai Pani, Meherwan captured an aspect of street food in India often referred to as chaat – savory, multi-textured snacks like bhel puri, sev potato dahi puri, and vada pav. But the street food scene is vast in India and with Botiwalla, Meherwan is diving into another of his big loves – grilled meats, flat breads, fresh herbs, and wraps. This is the scene that springs up at night in India, when the grills come out, the fires get lit, and late night revelers and commuters get fed.

Big fan of the chicken tikka, lamb, and paneer rolls. Wife is a big fan of the okra fries! I’ve tried most of their sauces but my go to is the spicy sauce. Has a nice kick and you can tell its freshly made.

Excellent food! I got the okra fries and the chicken tikka masala wrap. The wrap was absolutely phenomenal and flavorful! Comes with a sauce that I used to dip both the fries and the wrap and it was soooo yummy! I squeezed a bit of lime over the okra fries and wow! I don’t know any other spot in town where you can get okra fries like that, but I am telling you….if you come to Botiwalla you MUST try the okra fries. Customer service was stellar!! Staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu! Love this spot! Will absolutely return again!

Visiting this place for the first time. We absolutely enjoyed the Paneer Bowl, Tikka Paneer Roll, Gobi 65, Vada Pav and the Chai (that comes along with Parle G).
The rice bowl and the paneer wrap was so filling and very flavorful.
The Vada Pav was exactly like it was made in Mumbai along with the tea which was a great.
We overall enjoyed our experience and I would highly come back again for the Vada Pav for sure.

Have lived in Asheville for several years and finally got around to trying this gem. The food is very reasonably priced and excellent—one of the best “bangs for your buck” in Asheville. If you are wanting to try the flavors of Chai Pani but don’t want the wait, come here!! The menu is smaller but everything on it is delicious. Do not skip the okra “fries!” We will be coming back again for sure.

Wow, hats off to these guys; they just turned this place to a perfect downtown style eatery and the main chai pani to other big place as a full service restaurant.
The Botiwala is serving great food just the way they were serving it with Chai Pani.
Every single thing on their menu is an awesome creation of their great experience.
Staff is as always so courteous and cool. Despite of weekend rush hours they never show their exhaustion to the guests. The owner this place must be a great person.
Don’t miss the gobi 65 and Kathi rolls.
