Once Upon A Taco
If you don’t like tacos I’m Nacho type

Highlights:
• Sopes
• Taco Campechano
• Aguas Frescas

Review: Have you ever bitten into something, and it was pure bliss? That type of moment where it hits the right taste buds, which brings you to a feeling of pure nostalgia. Yes, I had my ratatouille moment! I’ll keep this one short, but you must try their taco campechano, a game changer that satisfies all your cravings and is rightfully their top seller. But now let’s talk about their sopes. As soon as I bit into that sope, I felt a similar warm embrace as if I was eating my abuelitas sopes for the first time. There’s seasoning and love behind everything they serve. I can’t wait to go back and try everything they offer.

Tucked away beside a gas station off 290 sits the best little food truck in Manor.

The big blue sky stretches above and a little tuft of artificial grass protects you from the elements below as you wait—but not too long—for delicious breakfast tacos.

I’ve lived in Manor for two years now, and my dining experience here has been decent. Preferring instead to drive into Austin, I haven’t spent as much time exploring Manor as I should.

Here at Botanita Los Tres Reyes I was surprised and delighted at every step I took. First, the pleasant look itself. The owners truly care about their little oasis. Though all around them is rough gravel, in front of them is a busy highway, behind them is barren land, this was a small pleasant area where I could enjoy the cooler weather as I awaited my food.

Most important to me was the friendly young lady who greeted me when I approached. I won’t mention where but I had come from another food truck that did not even acknowledge me for quite some time, so I left. Botanita’s greeted me with a welcoming smile and a “how do ya do?” Despite being much busier than this other spot.

After ordering the tacos I was surprised once more that there was no place for me to leave a tip. She took my credit card, swiped it and handed it back. Of all the times these days I am asked to tip, the one time I really want to do so, and I’m not provided any way I can. (this would be my sole complaint!)

Five breakfast tacos for $16. I would have paid more just for the “how do ya do?”

As I sat there, I further appreciated that this place was slightly behind the other food trucks. It is almost hidden.

When my order was called, I was again delighted to see how much care went into labeling and placing the tacos. Other food trucks in Manor had thrown a bunch of hastily wrapped tacos into a plastic bag, not labeling anything. So we have had to just open each one up to discover what was what. Here at Botanita’s, they care.

The final delight were the tacos themselves, packed with taste and plenty of meat on a perfectly cooked tortilla.

Come to Botanita’s for the tacos, stay for the “How do ya dos!”

The food here is so good, it tastes like my abuela made it herself. I was craving sopes and my husband wanted chilaquiles. The portions are generous and the food is delicious.

I had an awesome experience at this food trailer! The staff was super friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. The carne asada torta was hands-down my favorite packed with flavor and perfectly made. I also tried the tacos de cecina, and they were just as delicious. The salsas were full of flavor and added the perfect kick to everything. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

This place deserves more than 5 stars!
Excellent customer service and the exquisite seasoning in each of the dishes they serve, because you can tell when it’s cooked with love ❤️ It’s a hidden gem in Manor, TX. If you’re ever around, I recommend trying the green chilaquiles with cecina, sopes, horchata water, tacos, and their handmade tortillas… it’s a delight!
Also, if you’re a vegetarian try cactus and avocado tacos and sopes that are delicious.

Been living in Manor since 2017, and I can count on one hand how many spots that are actually good to eat at in Manor. I can now say Botanita Los Tres Reyes has just made my top 5! Came today for a late lunch at 2pm.

I tried the sopes and they were some of the best I have ever had! They were cooked to perfection. I tried one cecina and one beef fajita. I wish they had a littttle more meat, I ran out with a good amount of masa left. I also tried their guacamole, it is traditional.

Blanca runs the truck and is the sweetest woman ever. She is very friendly and takes her time explaining things to you if you have questions. She let me sample her agua frescas, and I went with the cantaloupe. It was SO fresh, I am so excited to try their other flavors. She rotates her aqua frescas. Horchata is available in the morning up until they sell out. They also do mango, hibiscus, pineapple. Also, she can make a michelada mix without the beer, and you can just grab one next door, if you want. Can’t wait to try that! She does make a topo chico one as well. On Sundays they offer shrimp cocktail, menudo, and carnitas.

Plenty of parking all around the truck in the gravel. They are located right behind the Twice the Ice business. They have 3 benches located in both shade and sun to sit at. You can call ahead to order to go as well.

They used to be located at Hop Squad where I have tried them in the past. We are lucky they are in Manor now, so go support them so they stay around!
