I’m 60 years old and not once have I ever been served something this yucky. Restaurant Week 2026. Gumbo was just some rice in a bowl with a chunk of processed chicken. The Shrimp and Grits were cold, ZERO seasoning except for maybe some Slap Yo Mama on the tiny shrimp. One bite and I was done. I’m so mad that I drove an hour for this!! I’m writing this review in the parking lot at 2:20 in the afternoon and people are going in and coming out really quickly. I asked a group of ladies what was up and they told me that they were told it’s the dinner menu already, which is $40. I asked the two ladies at the front counter if this was their mom‘s restaurant and they said yes. I told them how disheartened I was and that my food was cold and tasteless. Both of them just stared at the floor, but they didn’t have a problem taking my $20. As much as I wanted to just walk out, in my heart, that’s theft.

Came in on a Friday night. It is the holiday weekend, however we are the only ones here. Maybe people are on holiday?

Anyways, I’m sitting in a booth near a camera that periodically moves and is quite annoying. I suppose I wouldn’t hear this if the place was packed, who knows.

We ordered shrimp feast for 2. Mainly because The waitress didn’t know the difference between the catfish fillet basket and the catfish fillet dinner. I just asked “what item are you known for” and that was the recommendation.

Wow. Umm. Shrimp basket for two is small like small small. Also, no gloves or plates for the shrimp boil for two. I guess dinner for two you’re expected to eat out of the same bowl.
Food is extremely hot.

A couple napkins at the table…hardly enough. Woman’s bathroom soap dispenser doesn’t work.

Price isn’t the issue. Portions are. Flavor of everything was decent… if it had seasoning on it. Otherwise quite bland.

I had a great experience during Restaurant Week. The service was fast, attentive and friendly. The food was really tasty, especially the shrimp and brisket (so tender)!! I’m looking forward to going back to try the regular menu. Thank you for a great experience. I’ll be back!

Absolutely disgusting. I mean, terrible. I ordered the gumbo and a seafood bowl with rice, chicken and shrimp. It was covered in Alfredo sauce and was perfect for the trash. If this is the best that you can do for Restaurant Week, then you folks should shut down now. So glad I spoke up, which made another couple leave when they saw my food. Complete trash. I would never return.

Service is horrible. Pepsi had no syrup, brought a new one and it was flat. Server never checked on us the enire meal. I had to go find a server for silverware, which they only had plastic. Had to ask for ranch for wings, butter for seafood boil. Then had to sit for 15 mins after we were done before someone came and asked for our desert order, and we had to tell them what we ordered. Everyone seemed to hate being here. Terrible overall experience for food that was less than average.

Amazing service and good food. I picked up some takeout for the wife, and the food was absolutely delicious. It’s not pictured because it was eaten so quickly. It was garlic shrimp and rice.
I spoke with Jeremy for a while while waiting on my food, and the service was excellent. They seem like great people.
Highly recommend checking them out and supporting a small local business.

Horrible as went doing KC restaurant week. Greeted at door stating it would be at least 45 minutes before getting our food from time we ordered. Mind you the restaurant was maybe 1/3 full and we had made reservations. Also stated some food was not available. Will never be back after this bad non-experience experience!

We came in for the beginning of Kc Restaurant week. I ordered the brisket Mac n cheese with shrimp and it was a small plate with mostly chunks of brisket with a small side of bright orange non seasoned Mac n cheese. It looked absolutely terrible and the serving was so small. My husband liked the crab boil so we stayed to eat. As we were leaving at 7pm they turned customers away saying they had no more food! So I think they gave the last customers a smaller serving since they were running out. Very disappointed in the experience

Do not I repeat do not eat here! Shrimp Boil looks like two gold fish swimming in dirty water…Mac and cheese-trash it was definitely boxed topped with parsley, cheese, and no telling what else…not to mention is was gold and runny all your other food swam in the cheese. Brisket -‘nasty…then there’s dessert red velvet cake…hell I couldn’t eat it because it was frozen. Chicken and sausage gumbo-trash. This place should have definitely sat Restaurant Week out…they were not properly prepared.

Had some fried chicken and shrimp gumbo for lunch. Absolutely delicious! Great homemade style but better than anything made in my home;-) Owner is super friendly with lots of great ideas for the place. Check it out!
