Absolutely loved the food and service here. The steak was the best I have ever had. The service was great and all the people were sweet and helpful. Only downside is they were short staffed which isn’t a reflection on how hard they worked to keep it running smoothly.

I visited this restaurant with my family for a birthday dinner and was confronted by approximately 60 Confederate flags displayed throughout the entire interior. Flags covered the walls, the ceiling, and every available surface. This is not quirky Americana décor — the Confederate flag is a globally recognised symbol of white supremacy and racial hatred and is not acceptable in any environment.
The atmosphere was deeply uncomfortable and unwelcoming, particularly for anyone who is not white. The sheer volume and prominence of these symbols made it impossible to ignore and impossible to enjoy a meal in any comfort.
Beyond the flags, the experience was poor across the board. The food was disappointing and overpriced.
Our community deserves dining spaces where everyone feels safe, respected, and welcome. This establishment fails on every level. I will not be returning and would strongly recommend this place be boycotted and avoided entirely — particularly by people of colour and families. The owners need to undergo anti-discrimination training and remove these flags immediately.

Bit of a wait from arrival to first seeing food especially considering the early end to the ribs coming out of the kitchen. Did the All You Can Eat, eventually had my fill, thankfully, considering the kitchen closed at 7:45, we got there at 6:30, ordered promptly, and didn’t see food for about 45 minutes.
The wings were ok, good base flavour. The ribs were boiled, not smoked/grilled. The application of sauce was very uneven and was just on the ribs, not a part of the meat (understandable considering cooking method).
Might go back.

We had the best meals we have had in a long time. This place brought out our food very fast, but didn’t skimp on quality. It tasted amazing. Definitely recommend the bourbon nachos and the steak was incredible.
We got multiple starters and each one was incredible. The mozzarella sticks had some crazy cheese pull lol. Tried the banana spring rolls and they were great with the choc sauce and great onion rings .

We went to Bossboggs Steakhouse a couple of nights ago after a long time, and it was a fantastic experience. The ribs, steaks, chips, and desserts were delicious. The service was fast and friendly. We appreciate the efforts to serve the food in an 80s American style! Also, kids eat for free on Thursdays. We plan to come back soon!

This is a little gem is located in and around an industrial estate and was not what I was expecting (in a good way). The restaurant decor may not be to everyone’s liking, however, the food (pricing, portion sizes, and taste) and service were all spot on. Dined with friends and ordered jalapeno poppers (delicious) and mozzarella sticks to share and for myself, the rump and rib which came recommended by the waitstaff with sides of chips and ceaser salad. All of it, including the salad was so tasty and rivals, if not beats, some of the other restaurants that specialise in the steakhouse space. Highly recommend!

The food was unreal: perfectly cooked steaks, amazing flavours, and top-tier quality from start to finish. Beautiful atmosphere, great vibes, and an experience you won’t forget. Absolutely outstanding!

We had an enjoyable early family dinner here this early evening as we had our grandchildren too. It’s was our first time here. But my son has been here before with the family. The service is good and so was the food. Ordering the family feast was a good way for us to share food too.

Ok, this is clearly a McDowell’s from Coming to America (iykyk) situation being a copy of Hogs Breath. The name, the logos, the menus, the decor…. everything is a copy. And yet… when I asked, the waitress swore it wasn’t and she hadn’t really heard of the biggest steak house chain in Australia that they copied. Also seemed a little offended that I asked.
They do not have prime rib, slow-cooked. So they copied everything except Hog’s best dish. They do not have Calamari. Their coffee machine was broken. Their food portions were small despite the price being on par with Hogs. It’s in a very weird location. My son got a WOODEN spoon for his eat-in dessert.
The floor is carpet… for a restaurant!
I don’t think I’ll be back. But they DO cook a rare steak, which is what I wanted. Though, I think I cook a better steak at home…
Hogs has gone backwards… and I was curious as to what this place is.
So try McDowell’s/Boss Hogg’s for the experience. But you probably don’t need to return.
