I used to buy baked goods from this store weekly, generally spending $30 or more on bread and cookies. Their sourdough and red chile chocolate chip cookies are both very good. Stopped patronizing the business upon learning that the owner took half the employee tips and that he is a cheapskate and no longer was willing to provide a baker’s dozen when purchasing a dozen cookies. When asked why, the owner responded that he didn’t feel like it. Too bad, because now I don’t feel like patronizing his business and am willing to travel a little farther for better sourdough and baked goods at Ihavtov and the Burque Bakehouse where the staff and owners are friendlier and not as greedy.

Amazing selection but don’t me times they sell out of the crowd favorites. Green Chile sourdough is amazing. Their savory empanadas, cookies, frozen bread will have you with nesting what to order each visit.

The old world rye sourdough bread and the south valley sourdough are excellent. The savory and sweet empanadas were nice and flaky with delicious fillings. We also enjoyed the cookies a lot. This is a nice local downtown bakery worth buying baked goods from. The prices are also reasonable. However, each time we have visited the lady behind the counter has had an off-putting demeanor. It’s always a bit confusing as to why she seems so annoyed that we want to purchase goods from them.

My husband is obsessed with the green Chile sour dough bread from Bosque Baking. It makes super delicious warm sandwiches sandwiches like a turkey melt. The shop kind of blends in with the surroundings so it may be easy to pass by, but if you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and take home some.

Fantastic lighting, wood everywhere, plants, gorgeous environment. Really big selection of cookies, breads, and unique pairings. Had the mini pecan and it was perfect; not too sweet but that perfect pecan goo that’s just lovely butter. Finally a place that doesn’t cut crust with lard! Just beautiful flaky dough. Also had the red chile chocolate and quintuple chocolate cookies. Really nice, great prices, really nice service. Just lovely.

We tried planning our flight to get in to grab fresh green chile sourdough bread. The cookies with local flavor (green chile white chocolate chip, red chile chocolate chip) are a must try! Lovely neighborhood bakery, will be back for sure.
