My family and I were going a little crazy with how monotone the general food scene can be in RI. We were missing Asian cuisine and this place certainly provides that escapism. It’s a great place to chill and be informal. The food uses authentic oils, spices, and sauces, but in a way that was too unbalanced and not manipulated to be authentic cuisine. Perhaps it’s more appealing to locals?

Had an excellent lunch at Boru Noodle Bar. Started with a Pork Belly bun which was great. I had the House Ramen – very tasty – and my wife had Black Garlic Beef Ramen. Service was great and the location on lively Broadway can’t be beat. I will come back.

Perfect meal on a cold rainy day. Crispy Brussel sprouts is so pleasing to my taste buds. The black garlic ramen had a strong after taste but I love it, anyhow. Was really a good experience! Must try when in Newport, RI!

Disclaimer: I grew up in hawaii so I’ve got a thing for noodle shops… Onto the review!! This place has a nice storefront seating area that is reminiscent of proper street noodle shops. But don’t be fooled because they have much more seating in the rear of the place!
The pork belly noodle bowls are really good and served piping hot. I satisfied with the kimchi but would like it a bit hotter. The pork belly bun app is awesome so hit that up as well. I’ve posted a few pictures so enjoy!

Great place for ramen and tasty with great price and 2 hrs free street parking nearby. On the main road parking over charge $8hr parking and required minimum 2 hrs parking plus 13% transition fee.

Pleasantly surprised by this ramen shop, innovated and authentic at the same time. We ordered the crispy brussels which is amazingly delicious. And the spicy miso ramen and native shellfish ramen, both are super good, totally exceed my expectations. I like how they incorporate local ingredient and yet keep the good taste. Will come back again !!
