The ramen broth is rich and flavorful, portions are generous, and appetizers like calamari and takoyaki are solid starters. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere make it an easy place to come back to.
This place hit the spot
I had the tonkatsu ramen & salmon sushi, and it was so good 🙂
The employees were very kind
Me & my family enjoyed our ️ meal
I have just returned from Japan a few weeks ago… Boru Ramen and Sushi literally has transported me right back. The attention to detail, and flavors were spot on and fully deserve praise!
In particular the tamago (nicely sweet and that traditional umami flavor) and Sushi rice is incredible.
Highly recommend the Curry with Pork Cutlet and any of their specialty dishes or Rolls.
We visited Boru Ramen in Arlington on Christmas Day and had a wonderful experience.
The restaurant was very clean, the staff were welcoming, and the service was excellent.
Most importantly, the food was outstanding. The ramen was served piping hot, which I really appreciated — I’ve been to other ramen places where the ramen was only lukewarm and not enjoyable.
We ordered the Shiho Tempura Ramen and the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen, and both were delicious.
The Shiho Tempura Ramen includes crispy shrimp tempura, and the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen comes with chicken katsu — everything was very crispy and flavorful.
We also had the silver sashimi, which was extremely fresh, and the squid bowl appetizer, which was very tasty.
We even took ramen and tonkotsu home, and my son enjoyed them as well.
Overall, it was a lovely and satisfying meal that made our Christmas Day extra special.
Highly recommend!
The service was very friendly and the interior is clean but the ramen was a huge letdown.
I ordered the spicy miso and was served fairly quickly. The broth was rather greasy and tasted funky/off while the noodles seemed undercooked and the bowl overall was just not great. Only managed to eat about a quarter of the bowl before calling it quits. The bubble tea wasn’t great either, the boba tasted like it was only partially thawed from the freezer.
Maybe I just got a one in a million bad bowl but I wouldn’t recommend this place based off my experience here.
