I was a bit disappointed with the ox bone soup. For eighteen dollars I expected a full and satisfying meal, but the bowl had very little in it. There were barely any rice noodles, even though the amount of meat was decent. The broth tasted good, but the portion overall was small and I was still hungry afterward. For the price it just does not feel worth it. I was hoping for something hearty and comforting, but it felt empty and lacking. I think it would have been better if more rice noodles were added into the clay pot. The kimchi and radish sides were great though. Next time I might try the pork cutlet since it seems to be a larger portion.

We stop by here every other week as the Seolleongtang/ox tail bone soup is reliable delish comfort food. The donkatsu is ample portions. The spicy radish and kimchi also are tasty. The service is fast and friendly and there is a self service water and kimchi replenishment station.

I placed a phone order and was charged an extra $1 per item for takeout without any prior notice. On top of that, the portion size for the tonkatsu is noticeably smaller when ordered to-go, seemingly because it’s packed into a small lunch box.
For a neighborhood restaurant, charging a takeout fee and then reducing portions feels like a nickel-and-dime kind of business after the ownership changed.
The food quality has also gone downhill. Instead of focusing on a few well-made dishes like before, they’ve expanded into a generic menu, and it’s no longer a true gukbap specialty restaurant. Prices have gone up by about 20–30% as well.
Overall, disappointing compared to how this place used to be.

Authentic family style Korean diner. Most of the guests are Korean seniors. Help yourself with water and kimchi. Take the food and return the tray with no additional tips. The flavor in general is mild.

I tried Galbi for the first time and truly loved it. The restaurant was business with a few seats opened and I was seated immediately. Drinks came and side dishes. It did not take very long to get my meals and it came hot! When it was time to leave, the were very helpful with packing up the food for me. The price was a couple dollars over other Korean restaurants but still within the range and worth it! It is definitely, a 2x visit kinda restaurant.

My first time here, but the experience really made me fall in love with Korean food again, despite me already being korean.
First of all, the food was absolutely delicious! The Oxtail soup had all the aspects of my childhood in one little pot, and I couldn’t ask for more! As for the Breaded Pork Cutlet, it was just as I imagined it during my childhood! So I guess the main reason for me loving the food was because of nostalgia, but don’t get it wrong! Everything was scrumptious! Including the Tteokbuki! Spicy, but nice!
The service wasn’t much since it kind of works like a dining in experience at McDonald’s, but the little interaction we had was kind and fulfilling!
And the atmosphere to the place is cozy and good! Reminds me of all the other times I went to Korean restaurants when I was younger!
All in all, I recommend this place! Would love to go back and enjoy the delicious Korean food again!

Very good Korean food (by Philly suburbs standards). Probably the best in this area. Everything seemed fresh and well made. Most patrons are Korean. Place is well suited for large groups as well as couples and small families. The dolsot bibimbap came in the hottest clay pot I’ve ever experienced, so the rice at the bottom was nicely browned and crispy as it should be.

I really liked their 돼지국밥. Unfortunately though, I don’t think I will be returning. The dish used to contain quality pork slices. Now without notice they have changed the dish to primarily pork intestines. The dish is now more like 순대국밥 with no 순대. This is not good business practice.

My wife and I love Born Ga. Their yukgaejang and donkatsu’s delicious and the serving sizes are large. The owner and woman working in the front are very friendly and they always greet us and other customers with a warm welcome.

The banchan here are very nice, but they dont maintain very good quality consistency. Some times great some times okay. We ordered japchae (stir fried glass noodles with sauteed beef and veggies), twice came with no beef and another time the veggies was just green/red bell peppers. If you know japchae, you will understand what i am saying, we were disappointed . We wont go there as often as we thought we would like anymore.
Service was okay. We were seated after 5mins wait (there were a lot of empty tables, but they particularly wanted to seat us on a table that needed cleaning).
And finally gave us attention after letting us deciding on the menu for 15mins (no checking on us or any eye contact, we were ready to order in like 5mins). We were not new comers and they recognized us, so i was expecting more like a “returning customer” treatment.
