We went for the fondue experience and it didn’t disappoint. Megan was our waitress, she was very knowledgeable about all the dishes and drinks and her recommendations were amazing . We had the Fondue for dinner, the chocolate fondue for dessert, an old fashion and a Marille. We’ll definitely be back to try the regular menu. Thank you Bormio for an amazing dining experience.

Avoid the BUCHTELN for dessert (yeast rolls). I was having a great dinner until I got their dessert. It was the worst dessert I have ever had at a restaurant in my entire life. It left a very unpleasant taste for my party, leaving us very disappointed when we left. Borimo, please work on your dessert options.

My husband and I came to Bormio for our Friday night datenight. They exceeded our expectations! I cannot express how much we enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, and the friendly people. Each course was perfectly timed. The gorgeous presentation of the food was incredible. The flavors in each course were superb! We will definitely keep Bormio on our list of favorites.

Megan was our server and guide through an amazing dining experience. Edible works of art were brought to us in perfectly timed stages. Almost too pretty to eat…almost. Crispy skinned pesche with the perfect sauce. Venison that was tender and cooked to perfection. The pasta and the short ribs looked delectable too. Everyone had a wonderful evening. I made a reservation day in advance for Friday night date-dinner. Reading positive reviews was encouraging, while seeing negative reviews about overpriced drinks – made me curious. After all, my favorite drink is Campari. My wife enjoyed tequila mixer, while I chose Italian Chardonnay special – I was really surprised how well it was pairing with mousse – must-try cheese & truffle appetizer.
Vibe of the place transitions you to comfy small eatery in Europe, where you enjoy great meal and your date.
Short ribs were perfectly cooked.
And, as their dessert menu suggested, mountain air left some space for dessert…

Went here because we couldn’t get a reservation at Noto.
I had the gold run for a drink and it was good! We had the wurst appetizer and thought it was delish. For the mains my husband got the sauerbraten and I had the coppa. Both were underwhelming and could’ve used more flavor. For the price, I would’ve rather driven to St. Louis for a better tasting similar priced meal. The decor missed the mark for me personally but the service was good. Probably won’t be back unless it’s for a drink at the bar.

It was snowy out and a pair of us decided to book Bormio for a cozy dinner; we shared everything but our cocktails. Our expectations were totally exceeded. Food that was comforting and nostalgic while being adventurous and beautiful. It was the perfect winter escape with a seasonal menu and fun touches. We will come back in the spring and summer to what fun plans the team at Bormio has for their patrons. Charming Midwest hospitality treated us with intention and kindness. Such a treat. P.S. we had the dumplings to start & they were just mad yummy. Thanks for being so lovely, Bormio!

Reserved the restaurant for a retirement function. The team was wonderful to work with on the setup, listened to the type of event were looking to do and put together an appetizer menu that had most guests do 3-4 return trips. Food was exceptional and plentiful. The decor and layout of the restaurant made for the perfect evening of conversation with friends, family and coworkers. By having the whole restaurant and not sharing space like others offered, made it perfect night. Still receiving compliments several days later.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Perfect for a date. I took my mother and (adult) son here for a birthday dinner and we all enjoyed it. We ordered 3 starters, 2 entrees, one dessert and shared everything so we could get a good sample of several different flavors. Everything was exceptional. My son, who worked several years as a server at country club and has eaten his fair share of gourmet food commented that the food had perfectly balanced flavor, unlike most restaurants who over-salt, over-cheese, and over-sauce everything. I would absolutely bring someone here again for a special meal, and yes, it’s 100% worth the drive from STL county. Don’t hesitate to give this place a try.
