Good BBQ, the menu has a variety of items to pick from! I should have chosen to try the beef ribs, because it’s not always available around where I live, but I went with the mixed sampler. My pick was brisket, sausage link, turkey, and pulled pork.
It was all good with real smoke flavor, but I honestly think I’ve had better. I didn’t see a smoke ring on the brisket or turkey, so I’m curious how they do it.
I had Bacon, Jalapeno Mac n Cheese which was nice and creamy and the Cole Slaw was OK.
It’s a decent place for a meal and good for a families too. The Yard out back is wide open with a play area and picnic tables with umbrellas.
The 20% credit card service fee seems a little much. Be aware if you plan to pay this way.
UPDATE:
Josh the owner reached out and wanted to make it right and wanted to refund me. I told him he didn’t need to do that and he said he’d look into it because he doesn’t do that. Seems like he is a good guy for wanting to do the right thing!

Great Texas style barbecue! You line up and give them your order and move down the line to pay. Very fast and efficient service. Very friendly staff. Brisket. Ribs. Turkey. Plates and sandwiches. Lots of sides like potato salad, macaroni and cheese ( it was extremely salty), green beans, baked beans. Several types of cobblers. A full bar. The seating is all high tops and only seats 6 at a table. It’s a little loud. There is a side room with regular tables that could be moved together but it was very warm in there- A/C not working.

Solid four-star BBQ experience, verging on five-stars. In summary:
– Excellent brisket and ribs, very juicy and tender (A)
– Very good turkey (A-)
– Above average sides: coleslaw, potato salad, and corn bread (B+)
– Disappointing sausage, stale and flavorless (D+)
We’ll be coming back for the brisket and ribs!

I travel a lot and Booths Bbq is the BEST bbq in this area, I would say one of the best in the country!! The smoked brisket is my favorite but the whole menu is good. They have some really good sauces as well I recommend the spicy bbq sauce if you like a little heat, the sides are great too the potato salad is top tier!! You get your food super fast no waiting with the counter service ordering which is nice because I’m always in a hurry, Booths is here to stay go give it a try!!

Good food, Good experience. We ate Ribs and Brisket. The place is very neat and staffs are friendly. Got a nice bar inside too. It’s more of hangout place than a restaurant…

Do not judge Booth’s by any previous experiences when this place was called Lamar Yard.
I gave Booth’s a chance a few months ago upon learning of the change in ownership and revamped menu, etc. and it has become a go-to for me. I eat here at least once a week, and the food and overall management has steadily improved since they reopened, which is how it should be.
My usual is the sliced brisket (moist) plate. The brisket is outstanding and holds up quite well to high quality Texas BBQ I’ve had in Austin, Dallas, etc. The slaw is very good, as is the jalapeño Mac’n cheese. Potato salad is solid. Mexican rice is good. I’ve not had the beans.
My only real complaint is the cornbread muffins aren’t very good (too dry and dense), so I just don’t order bread here. Would suggest coming up with a better bread option like buttered and grilled Texas toast or just a better version of cornbread perhaps.

I recently visited Booth’s BBQ in Oxford, and overall, it was a great experience! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I tried a variety of dishes, and everything was good. The sides were great, especially the coleslaw, which was fresh and flavorful. The brisket, however, didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It might just be my picky taste, as I’m particular about my brisket. That said, the flavors were still enjoyable, and I can’t wait to try the pulled pork next time. Booth’s BBQ is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Had a great meal at Booth’s Barbeque. I enjoy the taste of this barbecue, and it does remind me a lot of what I would get in Texas. They were out of the moist brisket, so I hope to try some of that next time.
The only complaint from the table of 6 was from the two people who had nachos and felt there should be more cheese. Mac and cheese is good, but if you get the jalepeno mac and cheese, it does have a little kick. Also, I really enjoyed the coleslaw. The turkey does have a black pepper crust, so if you don’t like black pepper, then you should thy something else. The barbeque sauce was okay, but not my favorite as I prefer mine a little more sweet and smoky, but that is just my preference.
The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoy the set-up with ordering at the counter and taking your tray over table service. We will be back.

We were driving home to Birmingham after a weekend trip to Clarksdale, MS and saw a billboard for Booth’s BBQ. My husband loves to check out barbeque restaurants whenever we are on the road, so knew we had to make the stop after seeing the billboard. As soon as we walked in the door, the staff were very welcoming asking if it was our first time coming in. They explained the cafeteria style walk through to select your sides , along with explaining the plates available and the turkey not listed on the menu, (which I would love to try on another visit). The jalapeño Mac and Cheese has a nice subtle kick to it, not too hot at all so don’t be scared to try. The beans unfortunately for me didn’t impress. A little too sweet for my liking and despite being able to see opinions, peppers, and meat in the beans, they had little flavor to the other than the sweetness, which was very odd. Now to the main event, that brisket. We went with the lean and let me tell you it was soooo good! You can taste the smoke in the meat, the onions and pickle add a nice addition with the sauce. There are 3 sauces on the table in a yellow, red, and brown squeeze bottle. You’re at your own to test these out, no labels or guidance on what the flavors are, however I did try one that had a little kick to it that I really liked. We had the blackberry cobbler for dessert, not very impressive. There wasn’t a lot of flavor to this, the crust being a little over cooked. Overall, would definitely recommend and hope I have an opportunity to travel through again to make a stop.
