Visiting my daughter in Aztec and Ordered over phone, ordered extra peanut sauce for spring rolls – minus the shrimp due to the individuals eating them have shrimp allergies, pay the same price $10.95 as if it had shrimp and asked for extra peanut sauce and got charged 3.00 for extra sauce yet it was hoisen and (NOT peanut sauce) that they can’t eat either , so there was basically $25 in the trash….. daughter even asked when she picked it up due to bag being all stapled closed,…..“extra Peanut sauce and the lady called the guy from the back and he said yes it’s in there”….we’re in Aztec so it’s not like it’s down the road a mile or so, I also ordered pad ke mow and asked for it to be extra saucy and again charged $3 for side of sauce, I asked for spicy 4 and there was absolutely NO HEAT what so ever, tasted like a ZERO heat! Paid $47 cash for a lunch order so no way to get refunded, they said owner would call me back yet I never heard from them….. won’t be back!

I went after work Saturday after I called the order in. I used to LOVE Thai Boons- but after this trip will not return. I ordered yellow curry and crispy orange beef. Rice was an extra charge so for those 2 entrees plus a cup of rice x 2 my total before tip was $35+. I tipped well which now i regret/ so total was $42. I noticed when I got there – there were only 3 containers. I asked did you combine the rice? Because it was a small container. They had not- they had only given me one- had I not seen that and asked I would have left without my full order. Okay- now the food- the curry’s base is delicious- but about 5 pieces of pork in the whole thing and the HUGE potatoes and carrots in the curry were brick hard, Disgusting. The beef- was a sad state- hardly any there to begin with and it was rock hard and had what tasted like an artificial orange flavor, so bad you couldn’t eat it even if your teeth could handle the chew. I called to complain about the portion- this was before we went ahead and tried to eat. The manager on duty couldn’t care less. Better places to dine – definitely a lesson learned.

My background, I’m Native American and interested in trying restaurants around the reservation as I’m running errands or out for work. Farmington, NM’s background…an amount of racism still exists. With that said, I’m trying not to be biased based on that.
Anyway, I walked into this restaurant and it is a, “please seat yourself” situation. The first server that had come over was a white woman, but it was like once she saw the color of my skin, she didn’t want to serve me…HOWEVER, was quick to serve the white couples sitting directly behind me that came in 10 minutes after. Shoot, the couple even got an appetizer in before I even ordered. Again, I didn’t mind that and didn’t want that to be something affecting my review. The server I had, which the receipt shows Cynthia was very attentive as I sat, ordered and ate.
So, I had gotten the Panang Curry and at most restaurants, the rice is included with the entrée meal, but it is not. You pay for the rice per individual serving for either Jasmine or brown rice. When I had ordered the food, it came in steaming hot, which I freaking love! The food remained hot even as I was packing the leftovers. Aside from that, I loved the Panang dish; however, I am not a peas person and there were alot of peas…so be mindful of that if you don’t like peas. That was something different for me and new food situation for me.
Also, I had gotten the sweet and sticky rice to go and they prepped it oddly separating the mango and rice but drizzling it already. I was expecting it to be packed separately with the drizzle on the side and not already poured when the server said things were separated and was unsure why it was prepped the way it was prepped. Later on in the day, I tried the dessert and the coconut cream made the mango kind of bitter to eat so I wasn’t able to enjoy the mango considering how expensive they are in stores as well. That part felt like a waste. However, the rice was still manageable and delicious to eat when the rice soaked up all the creamy coconut drizzle sauce.
The ethnic lady who was my server… if her name was Cynthia, she was amazing.

The noodles were slightly overcooked for my taste but the flavor was food.

If the owner would like to listen to the phone recording please respond to message. I have spent hundreds of dollars at your restaurant while in town as a travel nurse. A simple fix to a mistake on a to go order turned into being treated like a thief and a fix required approval from the owner???
If anyone orders to go make sure your order is right. I had been in 30 minutes earlier and picked it up. They acted like it was a scam.

Extremely disappointed. I paid $15 for a to-go meal and expected a full meal. Instead, I received only half of the meal. When I called to ask about it, I was told that rice—which is usually standard—costs extra. That was never explained during the order. For the price, I expected better value and clearer communication. Won’t be returning. ♀️ ♀️

Incredible Thai food, friendly service, warm atmosphere, and very clean. The Tom Ka and green curry were both very flavorful. Love when restaurants do the hot pot too. The curry was just the right spicy ️. We’ve had Thai food all over, and this place stood out to us.

We had our dinner here while visiting Farmington. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. The two appetizers we had were very good. I personally believed they both were refried, but still they were flavorful. I ordered Khao Soi mainly because I had never had that before. And it was wonderful. It’s like instant noodles in a yellow curry soup.
As many people mentioned, all the staff were super friendly and helpful. If we ever came back to Farmington, we definitely would consider having dinner here again.

Finger licking delicious BBQ Pork Ribs, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her Ginger Chicken. Our server Daniela’s infectious smile only added to our fantastic lunch experience, and the owner even took the time to say hello and check on us. Boon’s has a very comfortable atmosphere, and we are very much looking forward to returning!
