Overlooking beautiful Sutton’s Bay on the east side of the Leelanau Peninsula, Boone’s Prime Time Pub invites you to come and dine with us. Acquired by Restaurant Partners Inc., in 2005, Boone’s Prime Time Pub has been a long time favorite eatery for locals and vacationers in Suttons Bay, MI. From its quintessential stone and log cabin look to the selections of hand-cut steaks, fresh fish, handmade burgers, MASSIVE Mary’s, & its famous jumbo onion rings, the Prime Time Pub says, relax, you’re up north. In 2016 we added a rooftop deck for additional outdoor seating during our beautiful Michigan summer and fall seasons.

When you find out that your server has been working at the restaurant for her entire adult life, it’s a pretty good sign! Great food, great service, and a very cool ambience in the cabin-like dining room (try to sit down below around the stone fireplace, or up on the deck!) make this a must for any visit to Suttons Bay.

Absolutely delicious perch sandwich. I really liked the crinkle cut sweet potato fries too. The bar was really nice and the bar tender was a good guy. Location is great. I will definitely come back.

We have visited Boone’s many times in the past and usually left happy. The only positive thing about our experience last Friday was our waitress, who was exceptional–very friendly and accommodating. The food was mediocre at best. There were six of us, including two children. My husband’s chowder was cold, my grandson had a “grilled” cheese sandwich with cheese that wasn’t melted, mashed potatoes were dry, gummy and drowning in gravy and our fried shrimp was greasy and flavorless. The price of my daughter’s salad, with the addition of chicken, was over the top, given the quality. Our bill was over $150, including tip, and I would compare the quality of the food to cafeteria food. Needless to say, we left disappointed and will not return at any time in the near future. Hoping that it was just an off day for the kitchen since this pub had previously been quite reliable in terms of quality.

Great food and friendly staff. The chicken and black bean egg rolls were amazing! We went in for lunch on a Thursday. Around 2 pm. Not very busy at that time which was nice. It’s a small place but laid out well. My husband loved his burger. Clean restrooms too.

Only one fryer working according to our waitress, would’ve been nice to have been told that before we decided to sit down. Ordered a whiskey sour and it had no fruit, which is fine but it would’ve been nice to have been told. I remember the onion rings were great here maybe about 10 years ago, which was the last time I ate here. Atmosphere is nice, besides a screaming baby(but what can you do). I love the building itself. I guess in short, it just needs help. Both in staff and in direction.

Sat on upper deck for dinner. Ellie was a great server. I had Whitefish Sandwich with cottage fries which was very good. Husband had Perch Basket which was good but thought it would include more Perch. Hopefully we’ll stop in again before we leave town.
