I’m from SW corner of Michigan near St Joseph and whenever I’m up in Traverse City, I make sure I go to Boones for dinner. It has great atmosphere and service and the food never disappoints!

Prime rib and perch were fantastic. Service was great. Meals were slow coming but worth it. The dining area is a little noisy.

The parking lot was big so you can easily find a spot. We did a reservation since we went during the peak hours. Service was great. We were seated right away and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. Prices are expensive but I’m sure people can see that from the number of dollar signs it has. $$$. Food was fantastic. We were not disappointed. There are different combos you can do with the meals. I did my own surf and turf with prime rib and perch. Make sure you get medium rare on the prime rib. If you get it too brown then it’ll be chewy.

-smoked salmon and whitefish pate 5/5
-prime rib 5/5
-perch 5/5
-garlic bread 5/5
-Grand traverse pie 5/5

I made a big mistake ordering fried chicken dinner. It tasted like the oil was bad. I took it home and threw it away. I should have just left 5 out 6 pieces of Chicken. I was so disappointed. My husband got a Ribeye and it was tough and a smaller piece than he remembered. I wasn’t happy where we seated to eat but our friends picked it out. They arrived before we did. I never like to sit in the entrance way of the restaurant. You constantly have people walking by. I’m wondering if they have a new cook, their food has gone down hill.

Nice rustic atmosphere, definitely not a place where you need a suit and tie. Portions are large, flavor is pretty spot on. Be prepared to spend a few bucks, figure $40/person minimum. Unfortunately no in house made pies or cakes, from GT Pie which is still pretty good.

I came around 745pm on a Monday and was seated immediately. The waiter was able to get my drink and meal order in as soon as I sat down. The food came out within 10 minutes. I was shocked. The prime rib was juicy and tender. I would definitely check this place out for good steaks and I hear the seafood is also good.

Best rib eye ever. Dont walk out of there without trying their Cheese cake with cherries or strawberries. On the outskirts of traverse city but with the short drive. Lots of class, nice patio but we ate inside. Excellent service treat you like a king and queen. Was able to park our blue motor home on their large parking g lot too!

Thank you Boone’s for the incredible experience. Our staff had a Christmas party at Boone’s yesterday and we had the best time! The whole team was so kind and helpful, and we had so many people! They never once acted overwhelmed. I am a former server, I still have nightmares of big groups. You have some treasures there!
We had wonderful items to choose from. My husband chose the prime rib… he raved over it. I had the strip steak. So good!!!! The side choices were delicious and ooooh the bread! My table all chose cheesecake for dessert because there was a gleam in our server’s eye. WOW! It was the best cheesecake I have ever had, and the cherries on top, I could live off of it! The best part was definitely our servers. They were always on top of things and a joy. I can’t wait to return!
