We absolutely love the food here! Friendly staff, great prices, and consistently delicious food! We particularly love all the curry dishes, pho, and drunken noodles! The best part thing about Boon Choo is that they have a drive thru! Call in your order or order online and pick it up without even going inside after a long day at work! The inside is also a very comfy atmosphere, order at the counter and have your food brought out to you! 10/10, highly recommend!

We arrived very hungry and in the mood for Thai food. After reading several reviews that mentioned large portions, we thought this would be a good choice.
Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly. When we walked in, no one greeted us. We understood that orders are placed at the counter, but despite standing for quite some time in the clearly marked “Order Here” area, we were completely ignored. Only after a while did a young man finally acknowledge us and take our order.
I am a vegetarian and, as mentioned, I was very hungry, so I ordered a vegetable and tofu dish that was described on the menu as “for the hungry.” I assumed this meant a larger portion. I was very disappointed when the food arrived. The portion was small, overly salty, and not satisfying at all. I actually left the restaurant still hungry.
My friend ordered the glass noodles and received a larger portion, but he didn’t enjoy his meal either. He requested it spicy, and instead of incorporating the spice into the dish, it seemed like hot pepper flakes were simply sprinkled on top. This resulted in uneven flavor and unpleasant bites where he’d get a mouthful of flakes rather than balanced seasoning.
Although this is a self-serve restaurant—you get your own utensils and water and clear your own table—we still left a tip.
I love Thai food, but this experience was disappointing on multiple levels: poor service, underwhelming food, and unmet expectations. Overall, we left hungry, dissatisfied, and unhappy with the entire experience.

Update: Per the owners response I could have substituted rice noodles. So I apologize – I should have read the menu better. Thanks for getting back to me. I have upped the stars to 4 and I really appreciate you getting back to me.
I have a pet peeve about Thai restaurants not using rice noodles and using spaghetti noodles instead. Why??? Other than that the sauce was good, great portion size but super oily…

Best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. It was amazing! Delicious and affordable. I also loved that they have great service.

I tried to call in my order ahead, and after being on hold for a long time, I arrived at the restaurant before anyone took my order. I waited in line behind two people. I guess the woman in front of me is a well loved customer. Everyone came out to speak to her and cater to her and give her a glass of wine and make sure her order was taken care of. She paid and then stood there talking while I waited. I went back out to my car. I went back in-the guy didn’t remember me and seemed very put off when I checked to see if my order was ready. Mind you this was after he ignored me to talk to her. After I walked away, even though they were so busy, he walked around and said to her “I’m going to act like a customer and just hang out with you.”
Update: went back tonight to try it again. Better service at the counter. I guess they remembered my name from this review, I ordered not spicy beef and broccoli, yet I have red pepper flakes just dumped onto my food. Will be going back tomorrow to speak to someone in person. Would like the tip I left refunded.

Great food, excellent food, funny/chill people working there. I ordered what I thought was a “hot” red curry spice level. After a cheeky back and forth with the owner about how my level of hot is weak compared to theirs, I loved this place even more than I already did! Go try the food, chat with the staff and maybe try something a little “hotter” than you normally would. Now that I’m living in Hendersonville from AVL, this is my new #1 spot!

This was me and my girlfriends first time here. It was busy so that was a good sign, the place is also cute inside and the atmosphere was nice. The menu says they are famous for the green curry so I had to try it and it did not disappoint it was really good I would order it again for sure. I chose the hot curry and it had just the right amount of heat. My gf had the drunken noodles and the broccoli chicken stir fry she says it was good. If you’re not used to thai food or your sensitive to spice be careful have Pepto on hand.

Food was great! Amazing flavors. The mango for the mango sticky rice was so ripe and sweet. Definitely will be back!

Stopped off here after visiting some Apple orchards and were we pleasantly surprised. We had our pup so we sat outside. We tried the grilled chicken salad, glass noodle salad, eggplant tofu, and basil chicken. All were delicious and flavorful. I wish we lived closer so we could stop by more often, but since we don’t, we are happy to have found a place to eat when we are back in the area… We order the larger portions and several dishes to share family style so our meal per person was slightly higher than just ordering one meal per person.
