Starting with the service, the first time we came through there was a younger woman that took my order and she was as pleasant as can be. We stopped and asked her about the town and she took the time to be amazingly helpful and it was a wonderful conversation after we ordered. The second time when we came to the window to order some fries we were greeted by and older woman and she was pretty unpleasant to deal with. I suppose I will be when I get that age too. We ordered the chicken and it was a bit on the burnt side. Either that or the grease was old, either way it didn’t taste very good. The coleslaw and fries were great, The potato salad and the ice cream were good as well. The chicken would have probably been alright if it wasn’t overcooked. The atmosphere is good, small town drive thru feel. All in all it was a pretty decent experience.

Everything is fine, food is pricy for the actual quality you get but it’s pretty good. Kids like the ice cream. They may have been just short handed but it took a very long time to get our food, just a burger and a couple corn dogs along with the shakes. We’d go back, just know what to expect is all.

Friendly and quick service. Reasonable menu mostly with burgers, chicken, ice cream. Seating area inside.

Service was OK, but the bun on their signature burger (and presumably other burgers) was too much. At the very least, grill or toast the bun (instead of just pulling it from the bag). You’re a burger joint, do it better!

Not a friendly hometown atmosphere, front counter lady was not hospitable and rude. Quite spendy

Really nice little food stop / drive thru with seating serving alot of different fare with multiple options and super popular ice creams. For a small town offering this is really quite exceptional and all at a reasonable price. A real gem if you find yourself in the area.

The food is still solid drive-in food. Gotta get the footlong with everything. It’s a classic that I crave whenever I’m back in Platte. However, I was VERY disappointed that you have to pay for ranch now. The main reason to come to Booms used to literally be to eat the fries with the homemade Hidden Valley ranch that was in the pitcher on the counter next to the extra pickles you could help yourself to. That’s all gone now, and it’s a big bummer and really lowers the overall level of both taste and value.

I ordered a spicy chicken filet combo. What I received, was an extremely overcooked chicken pattie, and mozzarella sticks, that we’re hardly warm. I brought the chicken pattie to the attention of the older lady at the counter. She just looked at me, and didn’t say anything. I eventually ordered a burger, which was ok, except, I asked for a burger with everything on it. When I received it, it had pickles, onions, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. I asked why I didn’t get lettuce and tomatoes, she said that I ordered everything, and that’s what I got. You’d think, that since we brought 30 people in, and spent a hefty sum on food and ice cream, that they could have fixed the 2 small issues, instead, I ended up spending close to $30, just on myself, and the food was just okay.

They are fairly limited on their menu and do not have the variety of selections that they used to have. They used to have a great selection of free self-serve condiments, but all are put away now and many of their condiments come with an extra charge. I first thought that these may be Covid precautions, but the staff members do not wear any protective gear, or seem to take any other precautions.
