Just ate here for the first time last night and it was AMAZING! From the start of the experience, walking through the bookcase door into an intimate and upscale dining setting, with original decor and style, we felt privileged and intrigued with what would come next. The host seated us and provided us menus accompanied with gold magnifying glasses (nice touch!). She then described their off-menu appetizer offering so eloquently that it almost took my eye off what I had been really wanting to try – the deviled eggs! We ordered those when our server Jaylen greeted us – the sampler plate of all varieties was delicious! Our main entree selections were difficult because everything looked so good, but the salmon and chicken alfredo were so flavorful and melted in our mouths. After our meal we were offered the “mystery” dessert, which we had to try. When Jaylen returned with a beautifully crafted CHOCOLATE crème brûlée, we were so excited and every bite was heavenly. Our bill was presented as a bookmark in a book and our receipt was accompanied by chocolates and a rose for my wife. Talk about unreasonable hospitality!! We loved every part of our dining experience and we will definitely be back (with all of our friends and family!).

I rarely give 5 Star Reviews!
This place is the Cat’s Meow. Be sure to make a reservation or you won’t know where to find it.
From entry to ordering, drinks to dessert, this is an experience!
I don’t want to spoil the surprises so I won’t go into detail on the atmosphere.
Cocktails and Entrees were awesome and beautiful. Food was delicious. We saw Flaming Ice Cream and should have got it but there was so much to choose from.

Everything here was EXCELLENT. The atmosphere (such a vibe), the presentation (beautiful), the taste (excellent), the cocktails/mocktails (perfect), the service (Gabriel 10/10). We found the Book Club Bistro while looking for dinner on our way driving from Vegas to Zion.. I really wish we were local because this place is just phenomenal and we’re sad we can’t come back all of the time!

We wandered into Book Club Bistro without reservations and were welcomed right in—already a great start. Our server, Rose, was absolutely fantastic: warm, attentive, and full of wonderful recommendations since it was our first visit.

We started with the caprese appetizer, fresh and vibrant, then moved on to the miso salmon and chicken kebobs. The salmon? Hands-down the best salmon dish we’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and unforgettable. The chicken kebobs were tender and full of flavor.

The drinks were another highlight—their circular ice is such a nice touch. Between the rum runner and a thoughtfully crafted non-alcoholic drink, everything felt elevated. And the surprise dessert at the end sealed the deal.

The ambiance is cozy, unique, and wonderfully book-themed. We even got to sign a book at the end to “bookmark” our experience, which was such a charming tradition.

Absolutely will come again (and again!)

An absolute experience— highly recommend ordering a little of everything and treating it like tapas to share! The Miso salmon was definitely a table favorite and the pistachio espresso martini 12/10 Very happy with everything, I am so happy we ended up with a reservation here!

This place is super fun (very themed, so if you’re not into that you may disagree). You enter thru a boutique and tell the person employee you have a reservation (I suggest one since the place is small). They come get you through a moving bookshelf and seat you in the speakeasy. The menu is plentiful and priced reasonably. We had a few nonalcoholic cocktails, deviled eggs, salmon, crab cake and crème brûlée – all delicious. I will say that I visited while pregnant and the booth seating has no padding, so it was super uncomfortable. Also! The bathroom has an audiobook playing to lean into the “library” theme which was so cute!

This place was awesome! The food and atmosphere was fun! We had a large group and the staff was attentive and gave wonderful recommendations. Our waiter Gabriel (aka bat boy) was awesome! He made it look easy and got our check split 13 ways without blinking an eye. He gave awesome recommendations and was kind and attentive to our table. Best service I have had in awhile! If you get Gabriel he is the best! 10 out of 10 experience

We went for the first time tonight for my birthday and I couldn’t be more impressed with everything. The food was all amazing, the service was great. It’s small enough that you don’t feel lost in a crowd you really feel like they take the time. I had an expression Martini with roasted Marshmallows that was out of this world. We enjoyed the mystery dessert. Make a reservation and go you won’t be disappointed.

So cute! AMAZING FOOD! Perfect cocktails. Writing this in the bathroom while listening to the audio book playing through the speaker above me. Felix is an amazing bartender and such a great chat!

The gem of St. George! I recommend this place to everyone that will listen and even those that don’t. I’ve been going an average of once a week for the almost year they’ve been open and have never been disappointed. I swore I reviewed it opening day, but don’t see it anywhere so here goes:

Once you’re escorted through the bookcase you will find a small but comfortable restaurant with a fantastic staff. Very fun place that I’m sure you’ve seen by now resembles a speak-easy and is often called quaint or romantic. While I could see that take, I prefer to describe it as warm and friendly. I certainly wouldn’t let the romantic description dissuade me from bringing a platonic friend to dinner. Best cocktails in St George, averaging approximately $15 each. Beer and wine are both scant in their offerings but the choices available are solid. Remember—this is a small place—storage is limited! The small place also has a small menu but enough variety for almost any palate and responsive enough kitchen to accommodate most concerns and allergies. The food is great with only a couple more expensive places in town challenging them. The Miso Salmon is my fave.

Dessert is probably the toughest challenge here. Not a ton of options but the rotating themed dessert they call the “Mystery Novel” adds some fun. The 21+ Affogato wins my vote most of the time.

Last note is that almost half the tables are high top so if you’re not a fan (such as myself) it can limit your reservation options.
