My server, Ruth-Ann, was absolutely wonderful. Super nice and catered to my every need. She made me feel like family. The portion sizes were far more than I could eat in 3 days. Delicious food, serene piano playing in the background. I will be back 🙂

I have never been to Boodles, but my brother made a suggestion that we give it a try today. Bruno, the owner, and Tiffany, our waitress, were really kind and friendly. We had a lot of fun talking to them! Food at the restaurant was nice and very fresh.
We were always checked up on at our table with wonderful service. The presentation of the food was really pretty too. I have lived in Madison Heights my whole life and drove past Boodles a lot without realizing it. I’m glad we gave it a try today, and I will be going back for sure! Bruno said he has a few nights where they have live music, so I want to see that since it sounds like fun.

My wife and I absolutely love this place. The food is always excellent and the drinks are the perfect end to a long week. We’ve been on numerous occasions and have tried most items on the menu and have never had a bad meal. We especially love the steak Diane and crab stuffed mushrooms. But I can’t leave a review without mentioning the service, which is phenomenal. Whether sitting at the bar or a table, every employee makes you feel welcomed. This is a perfect spot for a private date night or to enjoy with a group of friends.

Previously a 5-star rating, down to 3 after Gordon Ramsay. You’re paying 125% for 75% the old quality and 50% of the old variety on the menu. We started with the sourdough, which said it came with whipped roasted onion butter and parm, but actually had two cold unspreadable lumps of cold butter covered in a mountain of parm (granted, the cheese was quite good), which lead to ripped-up pieces of grocery store quality bread. I also got the Caesar salad which used to be made tableside. It was still ok, but coming out prefab from the back was not worth $10 for a small salad half the size that they used to be and not nearly as good. My wife ordered the Arctic Char that was supposed to come with couscous but came with mashed potatoes instead. It also came with shrimp which was a nice bonus for her, but it’s not listed on the menu and which I’m allergic to so I can’t comment on the quality. I got the NY strip, which did come medium-rare as ordered, but which also came covered in “zip sauce” that was not listed on the menu and which in my opinion severely decreased the quality of the steak. It also came with “scallioned potatoes” that were fried to oblivion. They did have a bit of chimichuri or something on them that was good, but was overpowered by the excess frying oil. We also each got wine which were good pours of good quality wine, and I got a Spanish coffee that was excellent. Our server was very friendly. The worst part of the evening was my trip to the restroom before we left, which reeked of stale urine. Overall, it was a just-ok dinner that was nearly $200 for two people including tax and tip. I hope they can get back to where they used to be, but I can’t imagine we’ll be back any time soon. Maybe we’ll give them another shot a year from now of they’re still open.

Best part of dinner was the service and kindness of the staff. Ruth Ann and Dana were spectacular. Dana’s Caeser salad simply perfection !I started off w an espresso martini made w reposado tequila and it was awesome.
Bread service is mediocre at best. My scallop entree was overcooked and rubbery. The corn that came with scallops was fresh but watery on the plate. The chicken on my brother in laws chicken parmesan was excellent. Pasta cooked nicely, the marinara however lacked seasoning, and sadly they have no bolognese option. Will definitely return for the excellent drinks, Caeser salad and service. Apparently, they had a big deal chef come through to help them out in the kitchen sadly, it doesn’t seem as though the kitchen is adhering to his recommendations

The Gordon Ramsay effect! I haven’t been getting out as much as I used to however, we stopped by here on a whim. I had been here 10 maybe 12 years ago and was aware that this was a higher end, bar atmosphere, dining experience. We had a conversation with the manager after our dining experience and he explained that Gordon Ramsay had come in there and changed many things as a part of his TV show/restaurant renovation program. Apparently Gordon Ramsay had been to another restaurant that we like to frequent in Warren, that restaurant did not survive his makeover. Which is unfortunate because that restaurant had a very diverse menu with good food at very fair prices. One thing I noticed here is that the menu was very monotone. The menu was heavy on the beef steaks with a selection of lamb in a couple of seafood entrees. Absolutely no chicken on the menu. I have a feeling this will change with time because a good diverse menu will draw the customers in. One thing I can say about what we did order was the flavor was there there was no salt and pepper on the table and we did not need it at all. Everything was seasoned correctly when it came and was served to us. I’m sure there will be some folks that would think that it was over seasoned, I tend to salt my salt. Gordon Ramsay is an excellent chef and has many things that he makes very well however changing the Metro Detroit eatery scene based on his own whims and tastes I think is a big mistake. Most restaurants are struggling post COVID and I understand everything is changed and not for the better. My hope is that this restaurant will diversify their menu a little bit better and survive what I am calling The Dave Ramsey effect.

Our favorite spot for celebration dinners, or any dinner out, and or regular New Year’s Eve dinner. Wonerful menu, unique supper club atmosphere (including live dinner music), and a welcoming staff thanks to Bruno. So many great selections – signature chicken parm, crab stuff mushrooms – try it all. Visit once and you’re a regular!

Went here for Valentine’s day. The service was amazing. We ordered the Chicken Parmasian and the Steak Diane and both were absolutely incredible. I would recommend this place for a date night or even a casual dinner.

Nicole at Boodles is the definition of great service. From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. She knew the menu well, made solid recommendations, and checked in just the right amount — never hovering, never disappearing.
You can tell she takes pride in what she does. Food came out right, drinks were always refilled, and the whole vibe felt easy and welcoming because of her. She made our visit better than expected, and that’s what great service is all about.
If you’re at Boodles, ask for Nicole — she’s a big reason we’ll be back.
