We called them and they were nice and made us a the hand roll, we just had to come pick it up.
The sushi was good, not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but not bad at all.
Nigiri was very good! I would probably come back to try all you can eat.
Bonsai Garden Sushi Bar in Santa Clarita is a true hidden gem! Every visit here is a delight—from the incredibly fresh, high-quality sushi to the beautifully presented rolls that are both flavorful and creative. The prices are surprisingly reasonable given the quality, making it an exceptional value for sushi lovers.
What truly sets this place apart is the service. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure a great dining experience every time.
Whether you’re a regular or trying it for the first time, Bonsai Garden Sushi Bar is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
The staff is really gracious and the vibe is super friendly and chill for any occasion.
Can’t wait to go back!
Service is attentive and gracious. I ordered the Chicken Karaage Curry and my mom ordered the Salmon Collar. When our food arrived it looked fantastic. The Chicken Karaage looked really crunchy. I ate a piece off the top and it was extremely crunchy, my expectations were high. I dipped a piece of chicken into the curry sauce, but the sauce seemed bland. As I ate it was clear the chicken was incredible, but the curry sauce was broken. There were multiple signs of separation. Some parts were watery and bland, other parts were thicker with stronger flavor. In the picture separation can be seen around the edges of the sauce. Another issue is the rice was room temperature and the grains were starting to tighten and did not mix well with the curry sauce. The disappointing thing is both issues could have easily been fixed before serving. The curry sauce was an easy fix and the rice just had to be warmed. Small things really do make a big difference. I would give the Chicken Karaage alone a 5 out of 5, but with the curry sauce and rice, I would knock that down to a 3.5 out of 5. If everything was freshly made I’m sure it would have been a 5 out of 5.
This is a Sushi Bar and I didn’t even try the sushi, so I can’t say much about it. However, the prices are very reasonable and definitely worth a try.
Overall the issues were minor. So, this is a place worthy of a shot.
Last time we were there I had to get up and go find someone after more than 10 mins. When the food finally showed up, I was done with mine my wife’s finally arrived. No check basket no refills, nothing! And the place was empty. If takeout it that important, fine, lock the door. Manager/ owner was flippant about the situation as well. Needless to say we left no tip. Been coming here since the early 80’s but no more. They’ve had 40 years of chances
Starting off when we arrived, the location was closed even though it was 2 hours after opening. The service is fast, the crew is friendly and ready.
The food, OMG IT WAS RICE! So much rice. The rolls were submerged in rice. I read a review complaining about this and thought it was an exaggeration, but no, so much rice is compiled on these rolls you seriously cannot enjoy it. Their sashimi was great though.
The cucumber salad was AMAZING… absolutely love the sauce on top. The sauce has a nice sweet taste that goes perfectly with the cut up cucumbers.
The price… We paid almost $40 for all you can eat, per person. We thought we ordered more than we could handle but no. We usually can eat a good 4 rolls each at all you can eat but at Bonsai Garden, we were done at 2 each.
I would recommend it for the appetizers and small plates, not the rolls.
