Let me take you through a culinary adventure.
The other day me and one of my business associates and I were near Jacksonville, FL. We were both getting really hungry. We had about two hours before our meeting and the place was five minutes away. So we decided to have sit down meal rather than grabbing a sack of sandwiches. We saw the BONO’s BBQ sign and said yeah, that looks good. When I open my truck door the smell almost made me run to the front door of BONO’S. I needed to try this. As I walk in there was an open BBQ pit right in front of me. It was like being front row at a Van Haven concert. And the place was packed wall-to-wall. But, as I sat there a bit I could not beleive how fast they could turn a table. It only took us 30-40 minutes, to sit, decide, order and pay. But we were not rushed at all. The waite staff is amazing and polite. They fly around the tables like acrobats. I open the menu and immediately noticed the price. I could not beleive how inexpensive it was! We both got out, together under $30 bucks, together! And we both are rather large boys and we were stuffed. Then the food came. The presentation was spot on. Like old world chuck wagon style. Other than the occasional “I can’t beleive how delicious this is” we didn’t speak for near 10 minutes, lol. Everything was so delicious. A perfect balance BBQ and smoke all slow cooked till you can cut it with a fork. I had the Saint Louis Ribs and the Brisket. With BBQ beans, and home-made Mac & Cheese as my sides. The combination was out of this world. The creamy smoothness of the Mac and the fall off the bone, succulent BBQ was next level.
The next time your in Jacksonville you must stop in. If you do a search for BONOS BBQ the only one that comes up is the location in Fort-Meyers. So all the other reviewers photos are of that location. This location is at 9820 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32257.

Eating with my co workers. Had the best brisket platter in my life. Brandie is amazing, and so kind. She gave me pudding and was very patient when I asked her to pack the food me (I’m from the Philippines we don’t pack there I didn’t know I just had to ask for a box HAHAHAHA) instead of being upset we had a good laugh instead. We stopped in at 12pm on a Sunday with 9 kids and 5 adults. Everyone was accommodating. Dave was our server and amazing. He was attentive and proactive and knew how to handle kids! The food was fast and delicious. Awesome experience.

We visited Bonos on a Saturday afternoon. My two Kidult boys ordered chicken fingers with fries, baked beans and garlic bread.
I ordered cheese fries with pulled pork on top. It was very good with a portion that two people could easily share, very generous. This fries with their melted cheese, the pulled pork with sweet tangy bbq sauce was very good. A to go box was included.
Our server Ashley is very good at her craft. She checked on us several times, service was very good and her smile was infectious.
It has been a while since we last visited. We made a great choice

Had lunch at Bono’s on San Jose Blvd with my wife and 2 friends. The food, as usual, was amazing. Our server was the best! Very attentive, courteous, and accurate. After lunch, we picked up a catering order for a church event. The order was carted out and loaded into my car. The barbeque was hot and very flavorful. Several folks asked me where I got it from because they loved it.

As soon as you open the front door, a gush of amazing smoky BBQ aroma hits your nose, and you immediately get hungry. Miss Christina is usually our server, but off today. Amanda was our server, and she’s wonderful. Service was top-notch, and drinks always filled. The coolest thing about her is her personality, and she has the original 3 Pokémon tattooed on her left arm. Thank you, Amanda, for being awesome.

Amazing smell! Amazing food! Amazing customer service!!! I drive 15 minutes to this location, even tho I have a Bono’s next to my place. Bri was amazing! Advised me what the best options are for a Sunday Special(I have family in town and needed a lot of food). Will definitely recommend and be always back!!! Thank you again!!!
