Quite a delightful surprise. Every part of my meal was delicious starting with hot chicken tenders with nice moisture and breading. The fried corn on the cob was fantastic and a revelation. Even the buttered toast was divine. The fries were not the star of the meal but adequate if a bit sparse. Very nice they offered melted cheese to dip which is the best way to get cheese fries. The service was great with drinks from the host immediately. The server brought the check mid meal which I love for our option to go fast or slow.

My husband and I stopped here tonight after a long day at the hospital, just wanted to say we were very impressed.
Good service, good food a nice relaxed atmosphere.
I had the fish platter and was pleasantly surprised, generous proportion of fish, which was delicious and two sides, corn on the cob which was also delicious, add hash brown casserole. My husband had the two meat entree and he said that his was very good as well. Definitely will be back.

I eat at places where my job sends me. So my coworker and I decided BBQ for lunch. We are veterans and asked for military discount. The waitress says sure. So I ask for the “LOADED TOTS.” It was good, but it could have been hotter. Anyway, the bill comes, and I noticed there was a discount of $.35 added, but only to the $3.85 sprite and not the whole bill. So I asked why not the the entire bill and she replied I ordered the special of the menu. Shouldn’t that have been implied when I ordered my meal? js

I had a ordered the pulled pork platter with two small sides for dine-in and cobbler to go. I asked for Brunswick stew and received baked beans. The meat was luke warm at best but tasted good. The cole slaw was bland. The waitress was good and offered to bring me a serving of stew to go. I asked for a serving of cobbler instead since she forgot to bring it, she said no. Ok, got it. Thanks. The restaurant looks old and needs to be refreshed. The bathroom is kinda yucky.

Outstanding food. One of our favorite places for bar-b-q. Fried corn is excellent. Takeout portions of the banana pudding isn’t worth the cost and quality the quality is low.

Take out order. Ribs were outstanding. Sides were terrible. Last week I ate in dining area. Got the Hashbrown casserole. It was so good. Tonight the take out order hash brown casserole was dry, undercooked, and had spicy heat in it. Baked Beans left a lot to be desired. They were very bland, except the tongue burning spicy hot. Why do restaurants feel they have to make everything so spicy. Kids and people with stomach/medical problems can not eat spicy foods. And, who would have thought hasbrowns would have been spicy? Stopped getting the greens there for the same reason. If people want spicy foods, put several type of hot sauces on the tables. Always easier to add the heat, but can’t take it out if it’s cooked in it. I stopped going to Bono’ s for quite a while, because of the inconsistency in the food. One time you’d go and it was good, next time awful. Several friends said the food was much better now. Not tonight! I’ll drive the extra miles from now on, rather than spend 20-25 dollars for a meal you can’t enjoy!

Barbecue here means meat being roasted inside a pit and served to you with a twist of Southern hospitality. I don’t know about you, but for me, service and food go hand in hand. Think about that for a moment. Pause. Ponder. Are you going back to that place that left a bitter taste in your mouth? I am not. My appetite goes where great food is served and outstanding service follows. The wallet will smile and open up like an old trunk ready to serve when requested. [Do] You know why the service here accompanies a greatly seasoned barbecue freshly out of the pit? Excellence in what they do! Meet Jada. [She is] A young, savvy waitress, whose joy, when she comes around the table, cannot be ignored. She is smart, pleasant, polite, carries a loving heart and willingness to get all you need quickly. I mean she does it in some sort of Guinness Book of Records – yet heartwarmingly. When she smiles, no one can possibly be grumpy around this girl. Put that in your food – and digest it! She will stop a bit, talk to you, and even ask how you have been. You do not get just a meal in this place. You are served with importance, dignity, and respect. You are as important as anyone who walks into those doors hoping to quench their thirst or leave satisfied and hungry no more. Her impeccable understanding of customer service, allied to a delightful presence, will make you feel like an important guest at a five-star Michelin restaurant in any part of the world. Southern hospitality could never have ever found a better ambassador. Those who lack it, should check what she has going on. She knows what she is doing – better yet! [She knows] How she is doing. Go meet her at Bono’s and tell me what you think!

My husband and I come here regularly for their 3 meat BBQ salad with house made ranch. They load it up with meat. I can never eat it all. My husband doesn’t mind helping me though. Lol. It is the best BBQ salad you will find. And for all of you sweet tea lovers out there, they have very good sweet tea!

Love the smokey smell when you step in the door. Okra and sweet potato were great. Brisket was good meat. Lacked a bit of a smoke flavor, but very moist. Great local atmosphere.
