You definitely come here to enjoy the chicken. Was a bit worried about the overhype but was glad it met expectations. Chicken was delicious and moist and the sides were also enjoyable and not an afterthought. Because it’s known for their chicken, we barely had to wait after ordering and from sitting down to finishing our food, we were done in 30 min with minimal wait in line. Definitely a worthwhile stop if you’re here in lisbon

Their roasted chicken is one of the best things I have in Portugal!
Came to Europe several times I always considered there’s nothing good enough about European food but their juicy and tender chicken meat changed my thought.
And the price is so reasonable that totally flipped my opinion about eating in western Europe.

went here twice in the same week, completely different experiences.

when i went on a wednesday, around 6:30 pm, i was seated immediately when i walked in. food came fast and fresh.

on sunday, around 6:30 pm, they had us line up outside for over 30 mins (telling us it would only take 10 minutes). the entire restaurant was empty, upstairs and downstairs. after the wait they sat the entire line at the same time (so what was the point of a line??)

additionally, we noticed the menu prices were different from the last time i was here, and we asked about it and the waiter said the 5€ upcharge difference on the menu was if you sat outside. which…doesnt make sense because it’s cold and less attended to outside.

because of the wait, we knew what we were going to order right when we sat, so i ordered immediately after sitting, and i know we were the first table in the entire dining room upstairs to order (because it was empty previously). however we received our chicken last, we watched tables order after us, the same chicken, but still receive it before us.

after struggling to even get the waiters attention for the check, he proceeded to request multiple times for a tip and point out that we didn’t add one.

The chicken? Excellent. Juicy, flavorful, and exactly why this place is famous. The setting? Beautiful. Well, everything’s beautiful in Lisbon.

The service, however, felt like we interrupted someone’s bad day. No warmth, no smile from our waiter—almost rude.

Come for the food. Manage expectations for the service.

I can’t believe the quality and value for money of this staple restaurant in Lisbon. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Food for two of us came to 28€ . I recommend the spit roasted chicken (of course) and the Brazilian rice….if you like liver it’s amazing… Come here you won’t be disappointed.

We found this spot on TikTok, and it’s no surprise, it was good, and affordable! We started with half a grilled chicken for our group of four, but had to order a second half because it was that flavorful. The chicken pairs perfectly with the chili-infused oil, you absolutely must try it! The chicken rice soup was also delicious. We sat outside for dinner, which had its pros and cons: you can enjoy live music if someone is playing, but just be aware that people might come around asking for money, easy to ignore.

Well worth the hype, can’t go wrong with their classic frango de assado, well cooked rotisserie style chicken with a nice char on the skin.

I’d recommend adding two sides of your choice and sharing them between two, the creamed spinach and rice complimented the chicken nicely.

Ask for the chilli oil (interestingly, tasted on the vinegar side) to add some spice to the dish. Helps with the whiter bits of chicken meat too.

Service quick and friendly, my partner and I highly recommend.

A mix of locals and tourists. No pre booking. The waiting moved fast when we came. Two floors.
The waiters had way too much to do, so they pointed us to a table but then forgot about us, when had to get the menus ourselves. Food was OK no excellent! They uses no spice or pre prepared process so chickens not crispy..

Very salty chicken (some pieces were so salty we could not eat it) but I would say it is a Hit and miss. Long que. We were a group of 10 people so sat at 2 different tables. One table enjoyed the meal but also said it was over salted. The other completely disliked it and was unable to eat some of it du to the amount of salt. Chocolate mouse was good. I would try somewhere else or drive down to Guia for proper grilled chicken. Definitely won’t go again.

The grilled chicken tastes magnificent. I love the seasoning and the crispy skin, and the meat is juicy and not dry. It’s also delicious with the chili oil.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
We went there on a Monday night 7pm, no queue for us.
The price is also very affordable. If I were a local, I’d love to eat this every day.
