Recently moved from Florida and Bonefish Grill was one of my favorite restaurants there so I was really excited when I found out that there was one in Skokie. Their bang bang shrimp appetizer and bang bang shrimp tacos are the BEST!!! Definitely give them a try. This location did not disappoint. We were seated within 3 minutes without a reservation on a Friday night. Our server was very polite! The food was delicious! Will definitely be coming back for those tacos again.

Nice ambiance place to dine! Service was great and our waiter was super friendly and attentive! Food was decent! Sirloin steak was tender and juicy, gnocchi was flavorful, pineapple grilled shrimps with risotto was the bomb, bang bang shrimps were ok and fried calamari was good but a bit oily. Portion was good for the price! Overall it was a great experience and would recommend this place!

A great fine dining experience in the northwest suburbs with great sea food and American fare with a cozy spacious ambience.
The very first thing you notice with BoneFish and how I found out about the restaurant is their huge sign which features a 3d fish skeleton.
We had the Ahi TunaPoke and BangBang Shrimp for appetizers. Both were great. The Ahi Tuna Poke is raw Ahi Tuna steak cut into small pieces with diced red onion cucumbers peppers and a sweet tangy Hawaiian poke sauce. The Bang Bang Shrimp is one of their signature appetizers here so make sure you order it. Its battered and fried shrimp in a creamy mildly sweet n spicey sauce over a bed of lettuce.
Bread with oil comes customary at your table while you wait for appetizers.
The servers here are great and really give you that fine dining level of customer service.
For dinner we had the Rockefeller Butterfish, Mahi Mahi and Chilean Sea Bass.
Mahi Mahi might not be your taste if you dont like fish that are firmer such as tuna with a stronger taste. But if you do, youll enjoy it. I recommend it with the mango salsa. Chilean Sea Bass is a great choice. Its a popular fine dining fish. Its soft yet flakey and rich. Think between a cod and tilapia.
Your entrees come with 2 signature sides and the fish dishes come with a choice of sauce on top or on the side or just with a grilled lemon if you prefer no sauce.
The Rockefeller Butterfish is also a great and one of the signature dishes at BoneFish. It is topped with a creamy spinach and jumbo lump crab. The fish itself is an Alaskan Sablefish (Black Cod). It is very light soft and silky.
The ambience of this place is nice and perfectly lit for a dining experience. The booths are big for ample privacy and the space is large. They also have a full sized bar. I did get a bit of 80s restaurant feel with the darker tone walls and some of the booths as well as ceiling fans but it was a pleasant type of nostalgic feel. Kinda like an old banquet hall.
Overall I had a great experience here and will return and try the deserts next time. My brother had the white chocolate cranberry macadamia cookies however and he really enjoyed it.

The food was great, so good I was half way through my entrée before I realized I hadn’t taken a picture for my reviews. Drinks were my favorite. The apple martini and expresso martini were amazing. Loved the bartender Marissa! She was kind and sweet and working very hard. Will definitly visit again!

Nice decor, disappointing meal. Seafood was okay but bland almost as if any condiment or side dish was preprocessed. The exception was the spinach which although under seasoned, was clearly freshly made. Charming waitress who must have had direction to all but read the menu. We came to eat not get a lecture. This was especially irritating at the end of the meal with the big sell on a credit card & point program. When said I was not interested, I reallymeant it. Abundant parking. Not overpriced.

We went here the other night just for a night out and it was really great. Everyone we encountered was really great, the service was exceptional. The booths were really large which was nice. We had the potsticker apps they were delicious, blackened fish tacos were just ok. The steak and lobster tail were great.

Only my second time visiting this chain. I went to the Orland Park location years ago and the food was unbearably salty. This location was better. I had a delicious salad and espresso martini. Also key lime cake, which was an awesome concept. I’m not a big fan of chains, but this is a good place for a quick lunch or dinner.

Not sure I can say enough about this place. The staff was extremely helpful. My wife has to avoid dairy and soy products. Our server even knew what dishes had those ingredients and helped to narrow down the selection. It also helped that sauces come on the side, so my wife could choose what to use, or for shared dishes some people could partake in saucing, some not. It’s great that they’re very accommodating to allergies.
Now you do have to expect elevated prices, as it is an upscale place, but the service and food are good enough to warrant almost all of it. My only gripe would be the $5 extra for side upgrades with a meal. While the mac and cheese was very good, as was the asparagus, there wasn’t enough in my mind to warrant an extra $5 per item. Not really worth it in my mind, but may be to some. I’d stick to the standard sides.
Finally, the drinks were very good and mixed well. You could taste the alcohol so you know you’re not getting hosed, and they were mixed well so they tasted great.

Fresh modern atmosphere that is good for groups and couples. Chic, strategic lighting and decor. The wait staff wear white ‘chef’ coats which is cool. I went out with my husband and we enjoyed ourselves. We had a reservation so only had to wait 5 minutes on a Friday night. If you didn’t have a reservation it was 20-30 minutes. My husband had an old fashion and j had a margarita, both tasted delicious. He had fish with potatoes and spinach which tasted great. I ordered the special which was a Thai inspired scallop and pasta dish. Scallops were on point. The curry pasta had a good flavor but was so spicy i couldn’t eat it. We boxed it up for my husband to eat later as he likes hot food. The spiciness should have noted on the menu as they do at other restaurants. One main negative the bathroom, I could tell that it had not been attended to in awhile (i.e. no tp in stall). Overall it was a really nice night out. We will be going back.
