Been coming to this bbq spot since it opened in reno public market. l’ve probably ate here 25-30 times and it’s not cheap for what i want. At first during reno public market the energy was high.
Lately is just serious and low energy dry. As a server who care a lot, i notice a lot and I recognize when a customer comes in, their taking time and money and trusting us with food that goes in their body. It’s not just a job. And good food ain’t cheap. And we all know minimum wage doesn’t reflect pricing at the restaurants.
The Food is really good. Can’t deny that. Ive brought friends and recommend this restaurant to handful times 10x.
I came in today and things were normal. Everyone serious and just in their zone. I noticed less than a handful of tables. I ordered my ribs with no pickles. Unfortunately for me pickles ruin my appetite. I bit into a rib and tasted pickle. And that was that. Attached are the pictures. But yeah I hope ya figure it out. Also it wasn’t the first this has happened.

Today I got the hot damn smash burger. The crispy onion and crispy jalapeno wasn’t as fresh as I expected but overall was a good burger. Their Fries are pretty good also. I also tried the ribs a couple weeks before and they weren’t bad at all. Mac and cheese was good too. I added pieces of the ribs in the potatoe salad and it was delicious.

My wife and I went here today for a late lunch and split the Jammi Sammi Smash with fries and mac and cheese. Everything was incredible. The burger was juicy, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly, and the bacon jalapeño jam made it super tasty. The fries were tasty but a little cold. The mac and cheese stole the show. Creamy, rich, and easily some of the best in town. Everything felt intentional and well done, not just slapped together. We will definitely be back.

We stopped by on a Saturday evening. They have a pretty extensive menu- including BBQ, burgers, and chicken (I think). I got the BBQ fries and my son got the surf & turf fries. While their fries are fantastic, getting the smothered fries we found them to be a little wet (too much sauce) but, other than that, delicious. The burger and pulled pork sandwiches were both really good. My husband commented that the smash burger was probably the best he’s had- as it was smashed, but still thick enough to have a real burger taste. We didn’t get salad for a side, but they had an extensive salad bar.
Service was a little slow, but I think they might still be finding their footing as it’s a new establishment. Food was great though. So as long as you aren’t in a hurry, this place is definitely worth your time & money!

Hello!! I was caught totally off guard by the price, quality n quantity. The food flavor n taste will floor you! Thr Mac n cheese, greens wer some of the best i have ever had. I was so amazed by food and service by the young lady who took my order. Oh! You must try the desserts, especially the frozen custard . I found a new place to sit down and enjoy a wonderful meal at a great price! I will look to hold a birthday party in a few weeks thr because of my experience or encounter was fabulous. They said they would accommodate the event for me of 16 to 20 ppl with a call ahead. You must try this place Reno n Sparks. Great salad bar and other healthy dishes available as well.

I read about Bone Appetit BBQ moving to Sparks so I had to try it out. The wife and I arrived shortly after noon and the place was almost empty. We quickly perused the menu and ordered. Order at the counter, get a number and sit. The wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries while I wanted a grilled chicken sandwich with a salad bar.
There is a self service beverage station that was clean and well organized.
The surprise was a fairly complete salad bar. There were enough ingredients to make a darn good salad. Plus the bowl given for a side salad was large. The only complaint would be that I personally didn’t enjoy the ranch dressing.
We received a sample of the potato salad and chocolate cherry custard. Both were very good and different from everywhere else
When the sandwiches appeared, we were again surprised at the amount of protein in each. The sandwiches were good but we both didn’t enjoy the BBQ sauce on the meat. This is personal as we both like sweet BBQ as opposed to tangy BBQ. When we go back, the sauce will be ordered on the side.
As this was our first time, we decided that Bone Appetit BBQ is a repeat. Looking forward to seeing what else they have.

My boyfriend and I finally had this place over a week ago and omg it was amazing. The gentleman at the counter was awesome and great help deciding what 2 get and yes he was not wrong. Thank u 4 all that. Also the service and food was awesome. U have 2 try it. The food was great portioned we ordered the appetizer combo and it was plenty. It had 2 hamburgers, chicken strip, fried pickles, potatoes salad, beans, shredded chicken bbq. Everything was great u need 2 check them out…

Definitely not a fan and will not be returning. Fries are hard and over cooked, chicken tenders looked like pressed patty. Sandwich is over sauced making it almost trash.Will not be recommending this location.

I was really unimpressed by this place. I got a blue cheese bacon burger and the bacon was raw. Like see-through raw. And the taste wasn’t that great. Looking around I could see other customers not enjoying the food. The menu seems lacking. The place just made memiss it when it used to be a chicken and custard restaurant. The cashier seemed emotionless and the kitchen behind her looked like a hot mess.
