5 stars for the chicken! The sandwich, wings, and the large drums always have that extra crunch, moist inside, and all four sauces are very flavorful. Roomy inside with better TV’s than most sports bars and has a large outdoor patio area for the nice weather.

Umm… I’m sorry to say this, but this will probably be my first and last time visiting this location. I’m originally from Maryland and have tried Bonchon at several different spots, but this was by far one of my worst experiences.

We ordered the 30-piece wings in soy garlic, spicy, and yangnyeom flavors. As you can see from the picture, where’s the meat? It was honestly one of the driest chicken wings I’ve ever had.

As for the new yangnyeom flavor, this just wasn’t it. Instead of tasting like a gochujang based sauce that I am familiar with, it tasted more like Thai sweet chili sauce. I know in fact, that is not korean yangnyeom chicken. Very disappointing.

We also ordered pickled radish for the side, and it was not edible. No sweetness, no tanginess, no refreshing crisp and crunch, just bland, vinegary and soggy. Pickled radish should be one of the highlights, adding that sweet, tangy, refreshing bite to balance out the greasiness of fried chicken. That’s not how it is supposed to taste. Overall, this didn’t taste like authentic Korean fried chicken to me.

We also ordered buldak chicken over rice and it tasted nothing like buldak sauce. Unless it literally means “spicy chicken”. The only thing I liked about it was probably the chewiness of the rice cake.

If you’re looking for a better option, I’d recommend Mad for Chicken in Niles, OH. Their wings are juicy, meaty, and full of flavor.

Quite average food and service. They were out of kimchi unfortunately. The chicken feels old and refried it was literally plasticky and unchewable at places.

We absolutely loved the food. I highly recommend the spicy sauce for the Korean Fried Chicken dishes. It’s a perfect spicy sweet blend, and the crispy crunchy texture of the chicken is only made better by the sticky Spicy sauce. Korean Fried Chicken is definitely what you come here for. The other stuff is great too, but can be found in many Korean restaurants and many generalized Asian restaurants. But this Fried chicken is unique to only a few places by comparison, and you should definitely try it. The soy garlic was also amazing. They were our of Korean BBQ when we were there. But we also tried their Yangnyeom sauce, which was good but very mild flavored.

I’ve been a loyal Bonchon customer for years, but this experience completely ruined my perception of their quality. I ordered my usual chicken katsu, and all three portions were unacceptable. The katsu itself was darkened, with the breading on the outside burnt and the chicken inside dry and overcooked. It was barely edible.

This isn’t the first time, either, my last order was so overcooked it was blackened and nearly impossible to chew. I gave it a pass thinking it was a one-time mistake, but clearly, it’s not. What makes it worse is that the restaurant wasn’t even busy, so there shouldn’t have been any rush or excuse for this lack of care.

I drove a long way and spent good money, only to be met with a meal that no one should have considered acceptable before packing. It’s disappointing and frustrating to see such a decline in quality. Sadly, after this, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Use to be our go to spot for Korean food. Quality has gone down in the past six months. Chicken is always fried for too long. They’re always understaffed so the wait to place your order and to get the check takes forever. Today was the last straw, a dirty knife was given to us and there was black/brown smudge on the inside of my cup. Didn’t even notice until I was halfway with the water and table was sticky. What’s going on here

Beautiful restaurant! Everyone in the area needs to give them a try. Food was out quick and it was amazing. Was just there 3 hours ago and would be back for dinner if I lived closer (was up there for work). Try the garlic soy sauce!!

Bonchon has always been one of our family’s favorite spots, and we’ve had many great experiences here in the past. That’s why we were especially disappointed with our most recent order. We ordered wings to go, and there were several that were visibly undercooked and were still raw on the inside. Not only is this unacceptable from a quality standpoint, but it’s also a serious food safety issue.

We were really looking forward to this meal, and it ended up being completely inedible. I hope the kitchen staff takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all food is cooked properly before being sent out. Mistakes happen, but this kind of oversight can make people sick.

I like this place a lot. The chicken is nice and crispy and I’ve greatly enjoyed the different sauces. The pot stickers are also some of the best cooked I’ve had. I strong recommend this place.
