I’ll be honest, we stumbled upon this place by chance. We were hungry and cold, and I have to say, this place exceeded our expectations. First of all, the service was incredibly warm and welcoming. My partner and I are bilingual, but I need to mention that the young lady who served us noticed we were speaking Spanish, and she took the initiative and started serving us in Spanish, she suggested some dishes and we were delighted. I ordered a delicious mushroom soup, the kimchi was super fresh, we had wings and now we know why they’re the best, paired with soju. I have to say that after the traffic, the storm, and the cold, this place was perfect to end our night. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

Theyre always so sweet and kind and the food is always great! Today we ordered some soy garlic and the wings usually aren’t saucy and they tasted different than usual we checked the box and it wasn’t for us:( it said Yang BBQ, I wish we would’ve checked before we left because I have a persona gripe with bbq so I couldn’t eat it but my friends still ate them and thought they were delicious!!!!

Ordered pick up from this location, we have been here multiple times before and, I don’t think it has ever disappointed. However this time I’m unsure if the quality or the kind of chicken that was used for the boneless wings (half soy and half spicy) it was horrible. I feel like McDonald’s has better chicken, I believe like ground chicken is being used now vs the regular chicken from before. I even had to just eat around the chicken to get some flavor, it was very disappointing. Everything else we ordered did not taste different, we got the pickled radish and bulgogi fried from rice. I included a photo below. I was very frustrated since we spent our money for not even good quality and definitely ruined our night.

Ordered online for food, however when we came home inside the coleslaw we found a press on nail. Very Disgusting. Just lets me know they do not wear gloves when preparing food.

Chicken was good. Rice was hard needs improvement. Shrimp siomai was disappointing. Bulgogi Dish & fried Zucchini was okay. Service definitely needs improvement .
Some of the menu you see online is not available at the store.
Would only comeback for the chicken to-go.

Very disappointed. I hold U guys (bonchon) to high standards! I have only ordered (multiple times) from one location and its the one in San Diego, on convoy. They get it right and are very consistent. Upon opening the box to eat 50/50 drum sticks/wings, classic crunch/Yangnyeom I could smell the burnt smell of cooking oil, the chicken was over cooked, robbing my wife & I of a tasteful experience. The way Bonchon makes their classic crunch is amazing, but this, this was bad! When I called Bonchon (it was bugging me that you guys would do that to customers) & let them know about what had happened, they were just cold, not sincere one bit! “Call grub hub”, we cant do anything about it! I get the fact that I ordered through grub hub, but they delivered my order, U guys prepared & cooked it! I really wish I would have taken a picture of how sad the poor chicken looked! I’m sorry but the classic crunch is supposed have a nice flavorful, golden coating. Not be over cooked, black, and taste burnt. Instead of trying to make it right, they made excuses. “We use the same ingredients as the location on convoy”, they said. I’ll be sticking to the convoy location in San Diego. They’re standards are amazing, just like the food they make every time. Just sucks because I was hyping Bonchon up & this is the experience my wife got from U guys. It was her first time eating Bonchon. So grub hub did refund me, but I would have rather U guys at least make an attempt to make it right, & all I wanted was for U guys to remake the food & give U guys a second chance.

Very friendly service with very tasty Korean inspired dishes, especially their chicken wings. The soy garlic is one of our favorites, though if you want a bit of spice you can go with the Korean BBQ sauce (my youngest son’s favorite). The house fried rice is also sweet and flavorful, and the pork belly in the pork belly bao buns is very tender. This location is smaller than the one in Kearny Mesa, so it can be a bit crowded, and the parking lot spaces are very full, and depending on the time of day you may have to park a little far as the parking lot services a lot of very busy establishments like Seafood City. Definitely recommend for grabbing lunch with family and friends.

I love wings and I love Korean wings especially. I came to bonchon because my friend told me they have great bulgogi items. The waiter also recommended to us the wings are thier specialty! So we ordered a dozen wings. Half spicy and half regular. They were so good ! Came with 4 giants drums and the rest were regular size. Man they were some of the best wings we have ever had. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We also got bulgogi fries and bulgogi tacos which were also good ! The fried rice was some of the best fried rice I have ever had! Definitely coming back here to try some other item on the menu !

So I was thinking the taste of Korean BBQ and I shouldn’t have done that because this food is entirely different.
It’s a bustling place ! They make u wait outside to get a table when they are at full capacity.
The amount of food served is quite large for two meals for sure!
Tacos are cutely served on a taco divider to keep your food together. Presentation is definitely on the mind of Bonchon.
What I loved was that my Bibimbap (spicy chicken) was served in a stone heated bowl. The entire long dinner, my food was at hot steaming temperature. How amazing is that??? Your meal just as as when served down to the last morsel. Now that’s customer service minded service from an owner/ managerial point of view. My husband’s was served in a metal heated platter.
The fried chicken is not the KFC type. Keep in mind a Korean taste on anything u order.
Enjoy!
