I want to start off by saying aways take a look at the location during a busy time of day , if its full of customer’s? They may have good to great food or possibly the only restaurant available….on the other hand if a place is not packed with customer’s during this time “Beware” !!! Today i stopped by the crofton location to grab a quick bite .First of all the lunch menu was priced at no discounted rate and I chose not to get any sauce on my wings I asked to have it on the side …the waitress wanted to charge me 95 cents to put it in a cup . The chicken was not seasoned at all…just the batter had a hard as hell shell on the outter layer and the meat itself was like a child cooked it !! I also watched another customer (she was a American female) come and place an other ….once she paid and the food returned she then asked the SAME person for 2 of the sauces the worker paused the gave it to her at no cost !!! Bonchon I’m done !

I heard great things about this Bonchon so I decided to order some takeout. The food was warm when it got here, and it was plentiful. However, the chicken was quite bland as well as the rice. The most enjoyable part was the fries. Was the meal I had satisfactory? Yes. Was it delicious? Not quite. I would go here again to try their other menu items, though.

I purchased $80.00 worth of food here recently and the chicken was burned. There was also very little sauce on the food. Then, the potstickers were soft vs crispy…and someone was very heavy handed on the spice. I ended up throwing away most of the food. My family eats bonchon often but never from this location. This is the first time the food was not prepared properly and went in the trash. This place is too pricey to be burning food and skimping sauce

I’m a frequent patron of this specific location and have always enjoyed their food. Nevertheless, my experience today was quite unsettling. Upon collecting my order, I couldn’t help but notice that the cashier had a visibly severe, uncovered wound on his hand. This sight raised significant concerns, particularly given my familiarity with the restaurant industry. It’s simply unacceptable for an individual with an open wound to be handling food items from behind the counter, regardless of whether they’re packaged or not. This situation poses a considerable liability and should be addressed promptly!

I love bonchon but for some reason the crofton locations “strips” always look like this and 9/10 times are over cooked . Every other bonchon I go to they are actual strips.

Usually the food is very fresh and delicious. This evening, coleslaw was dry and tasteless. Korean tacos tasted like they’ve been hanging out all day. Thankfully, the soy garlic wings are good.

I’ve lived in the DMV area for over ten years now and have been a bonchon regular for years, at locations all around the area (some good, some bad). We moved to MD a couple years ago and was pleasantly surprised with this bonchon location when we first moved. Everything was good up to maybe a few months ago. Lately, the chicken has been tasting a bit stale. The chicken tastes like it’s been sitting out under a heat lamp. Everything is over salty. The fried rice lacks flavor, but has an abundance of soy sauce. The dduk bokki is finally spicy enough, but lacks any other flavors. The seasoned fries have changed as well. It’s no longer crispy, and isn’t seasoned the same as it used to be. The takoyaki is almost inedible. After the first bad experience we had a few months ago, we agreed that we still have to give this location another chance, but about 4-5 chances later, my husband and I have finally decided to give up on this location. I’m Korean and have grown up with home cooked food all my life, and was happy to find a place I can go to if I didn’t feel like cooking, but now we’re lost. Looks like we’re driving up north or to VA for my Korean food now. -.-

Went here because I’ve always had a great experience with BonChon overseas. Lights are so dim you can barely see the food. Most of the food lacked flavor. Only the bulgogi stood out. They served the food in disposables, and in a plastic bag, like we asked for take out. They should advise customers about this prior to accepting orders. Paper thin plates were served which was messy to eat with greasy/soupy food. They gave the udon soup in a tall plastic container which made it very hard for my kid to eat out of! We had to ask for bowls and they were able to get tiny ones for us. Better than nothing I guess, but I would not come here to dine in again.
