Just as its name suggests, Bombetta is a little bomb of a neighborhood Italian restaurant. The vision of Emily & Patrick McCray (formerly owners of Divino), Bombetta is inspired by the quaint trattorias that dot Italy’s cities and countryside. Bombetta is always warm, charming, lively and inviting. Here you’ll find bold flavors and modern takes on classic Italian regional cooking, with special emphasis given to local produce and fresh Gulf seafood. The affordable, all Italian wine list is expertly curated by Chef/Sommelier, Patrick, who can always find you that perfect pairing, whether it be a classic from Piedmont or Tuscany, or a fresh and funky natural wine from one of Italy’s new wave winemakers.

Very crammed space. Service is South American guys making an Italian accent. Food was pretty bad. Nothing was made fresh or authentic. Reviews here must be fake bc nothing about this place was good. Overall very disappointed and will never come back.

I found this on google maps so I wanted to leave a review. 1. Service is over the top excellent. 2. atmosphere is warm and cozy. 3. Everything we ordered tasted great and fresh. Like a home cooked meal. Highly recommend everyone trying this spot. The pasta dish is a half serving.

Warm Cesar salad- this was so delicious!! Perfect as is!!
The mushroom ravioli in truffle broth needed more salt to bring the flavors out. The bite of the pasta was spot on!
The lasagna pasta and bolognese were top notch. We wished it was served with a bit more béchamel, we couldn’t find it in the dish. Also, instead of the lasagne sitting in crushed tomatos, if it sat in bolognese and béchamel, the meal would’ve been a knockout.
Overall we would try this place again.

We love this neighborhood gem. The same owners as Divino, which was one of our go-tos, opened this spot around a year ago. We’re glad to see some of our favorites, but also love the new offerings like the Crunchy Salad—I love fennel, so this is my new favorite. It’s friendly, high quality food, well prepared and served with care. Can’t get enough!

The Lasagne Bolognese and Grilled Texas Quail dishes were delicious. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere is intimate, and comfortable.
