Absolutely incredible food and service!! Very much recommend the samosa chat (unlike any I’ve had at other restaurants), spicy lal mirch, chicken vindaloo and of course the garlic naan (all pictured below)! Everything was so flavorful and came out quickly!
The service and atmosphere was also top notch— our server was so attentive and even gave me complimentary lassi and raita when my food was a little spicier than I anticipated Truly a hidden gem, would 10/10 recommend and go again 🙂

We ordered vada pav and thali platter based on previous reviews. Vada pav was very oily and nothing like authentic ones.
Dont even get me started with thali, very underwhelming. All the dishes were bland and americanized. Also chole were salty as sea. Save your money and skip this place.

Highly recommend, the food was so delicious! We ordered mango lassis, chicken tikka masala, and goat vindaloo. The tikka masala was creamy, flavorful, and the chicken was amazingly tender. The vindaloo was properly spicy, tangy, and flavorful. The mango lassi was delicious as well. The service was incredible, we felt really welcomed in the space and even got some complimentary yogurt sauce while enjoying the spicy vindaloo. Truly an amazing experience all around, we will definitely be back soon!

This has been my go-to spot for Indian cuisine for a while now, and they never disappoint! Every single time I come here, the food is consistently delicious, flavorful, and freshly prepared. You can really tell they put a lot of care into their cooking.
My absolute favorite dish is the chicken tikka masala with the garlic naan. Of course, I can’t leave without ordering a mango lassi. Not only is the food amazing, but the service is also great. The staff is always welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere makes it a comfortable place to dine in, whether you’re with family, friends, or even grabbing something solo.Overall, this restaurant never misses. If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Indian food that always hits the spot, this is the place to go!

After visiting Mumbai and trying palak chaat and Indo-Chinese food, I was delighted to find these items on the menu here at Bombay Street Food! If you haven’t tried Gobi Manchurian, I’ll say in advance: you’re welcome. Other favorites are chili chicken, lamb rogan josh, and of course the best butter chicken in town. I’ve also used Bombay Street Food for catering. I got to speak with the owner and plan the menu and portions. Food was great and my guests were delighted. No one was happier than me to have those leftovers!

I love spicy. I called pre-order and asked if Indian hot was hotter than spicy. Indian hot is the way to go! It’s not cheep but so worth it. I have to go in person next time to thank the staff. They crushed it! The meat was so tender and I have the best burn in my mouth still. 10/10

My experience was awesome, the service and food was delicious. We ordered tandoori wings and I had the lamb biyarni. I literally have nothing negative to say about our experience. One guy took our orders and was polite and even recommended choice based on our preferences. Other kept our refills coming. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Who would have thought a casual view of the menu on the door would lead to an exceptional dining experience?

Beckoned inside by chef and owner Andy, my party was treated to the most succulent chicken, goat, and lamb dishes I have ever tested. The wait staff was very attentive, keeping our lemon-infused water glasses full.

This was a fantastic meal for a few reasons. First, the atmosphere is relaxed yet formal. It’s a fun dining experience. Second, the menu has a great selection of traditional Indian dishes, with large vegetarian and vegan sections that were accommodating to dietary restrictions in our party. We ordered the pakoras as an appetizer and were not disappointed. The pakoras were crispy and hot, and were not greasy. I ordered the Malai Kofta as my primary dish. My personal regret is not ordering it spicier! The flavors were excellent, the portions were very generous, and the pricing was more than reasonable. The garlic naan was great too. For three people dining, ordering appetizers and drinks, along with naan and full entrees, the total cost was $101. For DC, this is insanely reasonable.

The staff at the restaurant were also very kind and friendly. We chatted with them for a bit after the meal about traditional Indian dishes, particularly the deserts (which we tried two!). If you’re looking for quality food, a great atmosphere, great prices, and numerous options for those with dietary restrictions, this is a great place. Even if your party does not include vegans or vegetarians, I cannot recommend this place enough. It was a highlight during the trip to DC!
