We drove to West Hartford planning on going to a completely different restaurant but when we pulled up, they were completely closed. We drove to Bombay as an alternative & we were not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious & so fresh! I had the bagala polow for a low calorie option— it came with a salad, rice with fava beans & naan. The vegetables and the chicken were grilled to perfection and the side of sauce my meal came with added the perfect touch. My husband ordered the chicken curry and vegetable samosas for an appetizer.. everything was delicious. Generous portions for a good price as well. Service was good and our waiter was attentive… We look forward to going back soon!

The Persian meals are not authentic and very flavorless. Where I come from, I can say this is fake Persian meal. The portion was good but that doesn’t change the fact that it needs much more work than just a portion. They need to cut the size of the meat and to decrease the oil in the rice and to add more flavor and spices to both the meat and the rice. What a Waste of money.

The garlic bread was delicious

Excellent Indian food. Very flavorful and delicious. The service is excellent. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is beautiful inside very nicely decorated. tika masala and Indian curry was outstanding although a small portion in my opinion. The biryani is very good. Our appetizer combo was very very good. we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and will be returning soon

As a Pakistani, who eat this kind of food all the time, I can tell the food is incredibly delicious.
The service is very quick and the staff is extremely polite. This was enough for 2 people.
The place is also very clean.

Although the personnel is kind and the atmosphere is decent, the food is only averagely tasty. We had ordered vegetarian wonton soup, Nepalese chicken lollipops, and Nepalese dumplings, all of which were passable. Additionally, the main course’s chapati and chana masala had a neutral flavor.

We live in the beautiful Berkshires, but there are no good Indian restaurants that we have found. We were in W. Hartford when we Yelped Indian restaurants. Glad we found Bombay Olive. From start to finish, it was very enjoyable. From the super flavorful Samosa Chat to the entrees of Chicken Biryani and Bareh Combo, all the dishes were plentiful and very delicious. The Bareh combination had moist chicken and lamb, along with amazing rice and crispy peppers and onions. So good. We took home most of our food.
Bombay Olive is a restaurant worth eating in. Next time we’re in W. Hartford, we know where to eat.

I came here for dinner with my sister and mom and it was wonderful. The food choices are unique to the area and all made with great quality. I highly recommend the chicken balti or the Persian grill dishes! The parking is easy and the place is easy to see from the road. Additionally the wait staff is all friendly and helpful.

We discovered Bombay Olive over seven years ago. Since then we have had Indian food all over the state and even country, and to this day it is still our #1. The food is fantastic, the staff is unbelievably friendly, and dining at the restaurant is a comfortable, cozy experience.
