Very quick and good portions, my first time trying Indian food and this was such a great experience it was so good! It was a little hot inside for the summer day but other than that everything was great! Get the garlic naan!!

Best Indian food we have had in Maine, and equally pleasing service! Try the Rupee beer, which was crafted with special spices and a partnership with a local brewery. The chicken Korma is always delicious.

Cute family run place, but it was very frustrating to have our meal served before the starters. We had to choose what we wanted to eat cold and nobody wants papadum after the food already came. Food was definitely more to an American palate than I’m used to, which may be more Maine’s fault than the restaurant owners. Small portion size on the tandoori chicken left my kids hungry. It was delicious, but about half the size served by most Indian restaurants.

The place looked nice. Lots awards from past years. I took take out. the guy taking my order was so rude. Helped others who came after me 1st. didnt seem to care for my business. messed up my simple order of butter chicken and gave me something else instead. I was home before I knew this. Whatever he gave me it was still good. prompts to the kitchen. service sucked. I won’t be back.

We had the chicken tiki masala, the lamb curry, garlic naan and a few of their drinks.

Worst Indian food I have ever had. Food was cold, chicken tough not tender, waiter’s shirt was filthy with dandruff and spilled food, there was a hair in the mint chutney, waiter patronizing with all this “yes, please.” Terribly disappointed after winning so many awards for many years in Maine.

It was purely delightful! The service was excellent, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the food….wow! My lamb biryani was piping hot, full of flavor, the right amount of spice, and a decent portion. I had the raita on the side and the Peshawari naan, which may be my new favorite food? I’m definitely going back! I could see this as an excellent takeout option as well.

As a resident of the Middle East who eats Indian food 1-2 times a week, my standards are absurdly high, so there’s almost no way any restaurant in the US is going to get a 5/5, but this was surprisingly good and I have to give 4’s at least for each category.

Service 5/5 From the time we stepped through the entrance, we were treated with excellent service. The young man sat us down, promptly took our order, and brought the food out quickly. I was impressed that when we ordered the daal, he even informed us that they didn’t have the black daal, only the yellow if we were ok with that, showing he has a good understanding of what’s going on in the kitchen. The owner Raj was also pleasant with refilling our water, telling us the Maine freshwater was very good, and conversing with my Indian in-laws.

We came in with a group of five at about 6pm and asked how long of a wait it would be. The waiter surprisingly said 5 or 10 minutes. We waited about 20 minutes outside, and then when we went in to check on things, the waiter said very dismissively that he couldn’t seat us anymore. This was confusing considering there was a table of five waiting to have their plates cleared, and another large table with dirty plates on it that was empty. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for years as both a hostess and a waiter and I’ve never just changed my mind about seating a table and turned them away, especially without an explanation. If he had told us it would be another 20 minutes or even longer, we would have happily waited. Terrible customer service.
