I remember going here last time and I think the food quality was better, I ordered the kitchen special this time as the main dish and I got it the thali way which comes with rice dal and the veggie curry of the day as side dishes, the main dish came with only 4 chops of lamb, I read a rack of lamb on the menu and the main dish alone cost 27 $ so I thought I am gonna get a little more Lamb for that, and I ordered a Mango lassi that was full of sugar which I couldn’t even finish, and at the end the bill was 42 dollars, which I think its a little too much for the quality of food they are giving, the sauce that came with the lamb chops I don’t know if I am supposed to eat that its just full of oil and spices idk if its like thick soupy thing and it doesnt have any meet apart from the Lamb chops so I don’t think I was really able to eat that, so I ended up eating only the Lamb chops from the main dish which was also heavily marinated with spices, I remember ordering last time the chicken and Lamb tikka masala mixed together that was much better and easier to eat with the sauce that comes in It .
Overall was good , wasn’t bad wasn’t perfect .
Plus , I got asked if I wanted a to go box while I was still chewing food so server should be little more mindful next time .

One of the best Indian restaurants in Sacramento. Amit makes us feel so welcome and then brings out the most excellent food every time!! Vegetarians – Do not miss out on the vegetable biryani or the malai kofta or the tikka masala or the roti or the palak paneer… I could go on… Need to come back and try the cocktails!

Walked in here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. The butter chicken was delicious and one of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend it. The garlic naan is decent, could use a little more garlic and salt in my option. For a party of 4, we walked out of there full for $120 total with tip. Great place with great service.

Great host and service. The food was good. I like the robot waiter that brings food to your table. We ordered a lot for lunch.

Great food. Worth the high prices. We had Kashmiri lamb, palak paneer and tandoori chicken. Everything was flavorful, cooked well, juicy and delicious. Garlic naan was incredible and soft. Kingfisher beer was ice cold. Just zero complaints and we had leftovers to take home. Also the best server ever–Sulu–was thoughtful, welcoming, and entertaining. She deserves a raise.

Since moving to Sacramento I’ve eaten at a few Indian food restaurants, Bombay Bar and Grill is hands down the best I’ve tried. It’s possibly the best food I’ve tried in Sacramento, period. Bombay is not afraid of flavor, and knows how to appropriately season their food. I really cannot recommend this place enough, and I can’t wait to go back and try more off their menu.
We knew we were in for an amazing meal when our appetizer arrived.. We started with the appetizer sampler which came with two different kinds of samosas and another item I don’t remember the name of…. it was delicious. I ordered the Dal soup (amazing), lamn kabob and Kitchen Special, which was a rack of lamb with a spinach sauce…. the flavor in the dishes was outstanding. I can’t praise this place enough, just make sure you visit this place if you’re in Sacramento, you’ll thank me.

My favorite indian food in midtown! I love that they do thali meals, the vegan thali is incredible either as a meal or with an entree dish. The staff is incredibly friendly and always attentive. I’ve ordered from here to-go a few times and it’s always done before expected, too.

Coming from the Bay Area, we have our fair share of Indian cuisine, and I found myself craving some today when I found Bombay Bar & Grill. Located in Midtown, this restaurant boasts a fair variety of Indian dishes, including my personal favorite chicken tikki masala. After selecting your dish, you’ll be asked to choose a spice level- mild, medium, or hot. The majority of their dishes come with basmati rice; however, if you want any naan or other sides those will come with an extra charge.

I walked in to order around noontime (and you guessed it- I order their chicken tikki masala, mild), and after ordering they informed me that my food would be ready in 15 minutes- not bad. I found the food very flavorful and not overly spicy, which is a plus for me. As a side note, the portions are quite large! After finishing the rice my dish came with, I had almost half of the curry left over (woohoo leftovers).

I’m also a huge fan of paneer so I also decided to sample their paneer pakoras. Personally, I’ve never tried paneer in this sort of preparation, but I really enjoyed it! It’ll definitely be one of my go-to appetizers now!

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking some Indian food in the Midtown area!

Woww. Loved this place. Tried it for the first time after seeing all the great reviews and it didn’t disappoint us at all. Everything we ordered was piping hot and delicious. We started with Bombay samosas, which had 6 pieces. It was hot, crispy and delicious. For the main course we got the spicy veggie tikka masala and Garlic basil naan both the dishes were just perfect.
