This has to be the best Italian I’ve had! Our first time here and enjoyed a full three-course meal along with a few alcoholic drinks. Everything was absolutely perfect. We started with fried halloumi and king prawns, both cooked beautifully, followed by the steak filet and spaghetti bolognese, which were packed with flavour and left our plates spotless. We finished with dessert, which was just as impressive as the rest of the meal. The service was spot on, our food came out in great time, and the waiters and waitresses were friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. Considering the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the drinks added, we thought the prices were very reasonable. We’ll definitely be back!

Just had some great food in casalingo with the family. I had the Salmon linguine and the kids had spaghetti bolognaise. Not an empty plate in sight.
Great atmosphere and great staff, at a more than reasonable price.
We will definitely be returning.

Lovely little Italian with a warm cozy feel. I had the calzone and added chicken and it was beautiful. My wife had the fillet of steak and she said it was the best steak she had ever had. Hence the five star review. The only downfall was the desert menu. Not much too choose from. We got the profiteroles, although they were nice. You only got two, which was a shame. Other than that lovely food and would most definitely return again.

So me and my Wife live local and Today was our first time eating at Casalingo Italian restaurant in Ainsworth village but we have long known about the fantastic reputation that Casalingo has locally.

We booked a table for 2 for 3:30pm but when we arrived the restaurant was quiet we were warmly greeted by a waitress who seated us at a table in the restaurant.

A few minutes later our waitress came back to ask what we wanted to drink, My Wife opted for a Large glass of Merlot(Red Wine ) and I opted for a crisp cold pint of Peroni, Drinks were well presented and tasted delicious.

A few minutes later the waitress arrived to take our food order so to start we both opted for Mussels, My Wife opted for Mussels Marinara(Tomato, Garlic etc), I opted for Mussels in Cream sauce, The food was well presented and tasted delicious the Mussels were so fresh and I’ve never seen Mussels that big in my life.

We finished our starters and we were ready for our Mains so my Wife opted for a Penne Arriabbiata and I opted for Beef and Spinach Canelloni with a side order of Cheesy Garlic bread, The food was very well presented, The food was delicious, Generous portions and authentic Italian food all the different flavours really complimented each other.

The service was fantastic, Polite and Friendly staff, Fantastic food, Fantastic drink in a lovely setting.

We ate here for the first time this evening after a friend recommended the restaurant to me.
The food was delicious, authentic Italian meals. The staff were very attentive despite it soon picking up with bookings.
All in all for a 3 course meal with 2 drinks each (2 people), it was very reasonably priced for the service and food quality.

We had 2 waiters periodically checking in with us who were both very lovely and couldn’t do more for you.
Portion sizes were great and I did have to take half my main home because it was so good but I couldn’t fit it in!

Will definitely return here.

Very tasty Italian food and reasonable prices. The carbonara was probably the best one I had so far. But if you don’t like oily food maybe seafood risotto would be a better choice. Overall, highly recommended for having a nice meal with friends and family!

As good as the reviews promised. Didn’t rush home and treated myself to a dinner for one! Was made to feel very welcome and enjoyed a mid week treat. Would 100% go back and bring friends, an excellent Italian.

Nice location (though parking may require some well trained eyes), very nice food, and very nice staff complete with Italian charm.

We visited this restaurant tonight as a group of 7 for my Mum’s 60th having heard nothing but good reviews, and those reviews were indeed well-founded.

The staff were exeptionally pleasant, very polite and friendly, and also very funny. They made us feel right at home and made the atmosphere super easy going.

The decor is very homely and cosy.

And crucially the food… was mighty fine! For seven people having three courses each along with some drinks, I also felt like the bill was a fair price. I think any of us would happily eat there again. If you’re in the area and like Italian food, check this place out.
