We ordered the tandoori chicken wrap, aloo tikki chaat, and chicken tikka fries, and every dish hit the mark. The aloo tikki was excellent — crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way it should be. The chicken tikka fries were a standout, especially the tikka sauce, which had rich, well-balanced flavors and made the dish incredibly comforting. The tandoori chicken wrap was hearty, flavorful, and generously filled, perfect for warming up on a cold, rainy day.
Everything tasted fresh, portions were generous, and the flavors were bold without being overwhelming. This is exactly the kind of place you want when you’re craving Indian comfort food — casual, satisfying, and done right.
Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back.
The service and atmosphere were just fine,
The place is right on Hollywood blvd..
Very conveniently locketed on the Hollywood street. Just 5min walk from Dolby Theater.
Quick service and good quality food, must try.
The menu had a good range of traditional Indian dishes, which made it tough to decide! Ultimately, we ordered lamb biryani, chicken tikka masala, and naan. My wife wasn’t particularly hungry at the time, so it was mostly me enjoying the meal. The food arrived quickly, which we appreciated given how tired we were from the day’s adventures.
Starting with the lamb biryani, I found it flavorful and well-cooked, though there were more sliced onions than I’m used to seeing in biryani dishes. The flavor was still pleasant, but it did add a unique twist. The chicken tikka masala was where we noticed a difference. Having tried tikka masala in various Indian restaurants around the world, we were a bit surprised to find it tasted more like butter chicken. If it had been listed as butter chicken, I would have found it very satisfying, but as a tikka masala, it missed that traditional balance of spices we’re accustomed to. Nonetheless, it was rich, creamy, and enjoyable in its own way, just not quite what we were expecting.
The naan was fresh, soft, and perfect for scooping up the rich sauce of the chicken dish. Overall, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and the restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, with subtle decor that suited the theme.
The prices felt reasonable, especially for a spot located right in the middle of North Hollywood near the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s a convenient and cozy place to refuel after exploring the area. In summary, Bollywood Grill offered a pleasant dining experience with friendly service, reasonable prices, and good food, though with a few unexpected flavor twists for those familiar with traditional Indian dishes.
Definitely recommending for Indian food while enjoying Hollywood Street.
Their ginger, lemon drink was super awesome. This was one of the recommendation from a owner. I definitely recommend trying to a drink.
This Indian restaurant is off the Hollywood Blvd and very close to the Highland Blvd. I can see that parking is a problem, since you have to walk to this restaurant. I ordered a chicken bowl. I looked at the bowl and I didn’t see the rice but a few chicken, but a lot of source. I had to ask the waiter:” Where is the rice?” He told me that it was under the heavy source. I digged into the source, then I saw a few tablespoon of rice, which was soaked into the yellow source, so I was not able to taste the original flavor of the rice, but very small amount of salty yellow rice!
I also ordered the extra charged Naan bread, for which in most Indian restaurants, they will give you for free if you order an entry or plate. I had a strong impression that this restaurant is very stingy since they charged me 20 dollars for very little food and there was no vegetable at all. I certainly will not come back to this Indian restaurant again.
I hope that you will also take my advice, so you will not be leaving and still hungry.
