Wonderful bakery with fun, friendly staff. This place is full of surprises. Come back throughout the day as fresh items are constantly being pulled from the ovens. The pretzel curry roll was seriously delicious. They tossed a couple free sugar cookies at us and – ok wow, maybe the best sugar cookies I ever ate. The large chocolate chip cookies are not to be missed. Raisin sourdough bread? Yeah grab that, too before they are gone. Sorry, we got the last bag of biscuits. Good drip coffee. Lots of little extras to buy if you are just popping into town for the weekend and need basic bread and a cheese pack and butter and coffee and sweets.

I love this woman owned bakery. Have been dying to try it when I had a chance to get out to harpers ferry and it didn’t disappoint. There’s an open kitchen so you can see the bread being made. Flat. Accessible though not much space inside there are a couple tables outside under covering.

If this bakery doesn’t end up on the food network I will be absolutely shocked and disappointed. I’ve been to over 40 states (traveled from WA State); and have stopped at hundreds of amazing bakeries—but this ladies and gentlemen, IS. THE. BEST! I got the GF Amaretti cookie and OH MY GOSH…absolutely died and went to heaven!!!! I literally stopped in my tracks while eating there and ended up buying FOUR MORE. Y’all, the cookie was RIDICULOUS. I have never in my life tasted something so darn delicious. I ate it while sipping on my cold brew which was perfect with their caramel syrup and oat milk! Everything else at the bakery looked absolutely mouth watering by the smell of it. I almost risked it all (I have celiac) to take a sample of the GLUTEN DELIGHTS but the cookie sufficed. Will, who I took a selfie with made the cookie as his senior project at culinary school. Will was fantastic, and deserves all the praise for his hard work. This bakery is beyond cute, had other fantastic buys including veteran made jams and honey (which I also bought). I am around WV for the next couple months, and am already planning a trip back before driving back to the west coast. I CANNOT WAIT to be back and see if Will has more fun gluten free creations!

What an amazing bakery! The smells upon entering were divine. We visited with the owner/baker while there and she was delightful. We left with ginger scones and sourdough bread. The bread was a perfect lunch to carry along on our AT hike. If you are visiting I highly recommend this local gem. If you live near here, you have just found your favorite new bakery!

What can i say about Bolivar Bread Bakery? The simple truth is not enough. I stopped by in the middle of a 10-day motorcycle trip. They weren’t a destination i had in mind, but a more knowledgeable person i met pointed me in their direction, and it turned into the food highlight of the entire trip. Walking in, the aroma sweeps you off your feet. Then, you are confronted by the arduous choice of having to pick from their selection of tantalizing treats. I truly believe that they do not know how to make bad food at this establishment. The staff was passionate about their craft, the service was friendly and extremely helpful, and bread was crispy yet soft in ways that touched upon an appetite i didn’t know i had. I was entirely saddened i couldn’t take more with me, as my storage on my motorcycle was limited. This will be a defining destination of my next trip to the east coast.

We go to Harpers Ferry every couple of weeks since it is a beautiful place just to walk and enjoy the scenery. We happened to stop at this bakery for the first time and will not be the last. The bread smells out of this world, I just got some Chocolate Chip cookies and they were the best that I have ever had (I am a CC Cookie fanatic) please stop in they just don’t sell breads and cakes
