I’m not from the area, but I visit often since my partner’s family lives here and I’m always looking for new food spots/businesses to check out since we love to support local. I love unique ice cream flavors and Bold Batch certainly delivers. There’s always a great assortment of options, which include vegan scoops for those with dietary restrictions. The ingredients are fresh and fun, while the team is friendly and ready to answer questions. We also love that it’s part of the Little Blue Bakehouse setup because you’re able to check out other local goods and get every possible sweet tooth fix in one spot! Will always look forward to going back whenever we’re in Raleigh 🙂

Oreo Borealis – is a regular flavor now- like cookies and cream w salted caramel. This has become one of my favorite ice creams ever. And then she rotates other flavors through the month and my personal favorite is coffee lemonade. Don’t knock till you try! And “be bold” and try some of her other creative combos.
Get yourself out to her ice cream shop – it’s one of the best ice creams in the triangle for sure. (And while you’re there you can get other desserts from several other small food businesses at the bake house )

We had baked Alaska in New Orleans and had a special request for Bold Batch to do something similar in an ice cream cake. They really nailed all of the flavors, right down to the chocolate syrup topping and even made some improvements. Every bite was absolutely amazing.

I’ve been hooked since was dealing ice cream in a poorly-lit, poorly-maintained parking lot behind a shipping depot. That’s… Five years now? Through a smattering of moves and massive shake-ups, she has never once compromised on quality. I can’t say the same for most of her ice cream making peers. Velvety smooth base that isn’t the least bit watery or crystallized, bright honest flavors (she makes THE BEST fruit ice creams), and unerring mix-ins. This is the only ice cream I keep in my freezer.

Ordered a custom cake for my wife’s birthday party. Maura was great at communicating options and ideas. She took the concept of what I wanted and turned it into a delicious and wonderfully- decorated cake. Would definitely go to her again, and highly recommend if you’re looking for something of higher quality than store-bought ice cream cakes.

Hands down the best ice cream, I or anyone I have shared Bold Batch’s ice cream with, has every had! My personal favorite is Death by Chocolate, but every flavor Bold Batch makes is carefully crafted and thought out to create the best flavor combinations.
