The people here were super friendly and were careful to make sure they had their order right after we had sat down. Also, of course, my pianist and producer brain is going to say this, but they also have great taste in music for the radio station they play here.
Oh, and the guy who took our order, also went out of his way to tell us that they try to lock the doors right when they close to keep homeless people from coming in and “shootin’ up in the bathroom” lol, which is relieving compared to the grungy looking and unsavory service from some of the fast food places closer to the 65 and Dickerson.
We will definitely be back, I highly recommend this place even over some of the fast food places closer to where we live.
Taste: Chicken itself was great — crispy outside, tender inside.
Bun: Surprisingly good, not soggy or bland.
Score: 9/10

Salted Caramel Apple Pie
Flavor: Fell flat — filling and crust both tasted like cardboard.
Texture: Dry, disappointing.
Score: 2/10

Large Water with Lemon (freebie)
Perk: Big, refreshing, and free.

✅ Overall verdict: The chicken sandwich carried the meal, the pie was a letdown, but the free water with lemon still made the stop worthwhile.
I came in a little after 6:30 pm on a weeknight. I eventually ordered my food online after 6:50 pm. I could tell they were busy through the drive-thru; however that does not excusive to be totally ignoring the people at the front counter. They don’t have to drop everything just to take an order. But they should ACKNOWLEDGE the people waiting. They should have said something like, “We’ll be with you shortly.”
But no. The workers there on this particular evening were RUDE. They INFURIATED ME because NOBODY cared I was in the restaurant. They was a couple in front of me that ended up walking out. They shouted out to the workers to get their attention, but the workers ignored them, too.
I have been to this restaurant several times before at this time of day. I’ve had decent service then. This was in off day, but it is INEXCUSABLE. The rudeness by ignoring a customer is beyond unprofessional, and the workers that night should be reprimanded.
I am not a chicken person, it is something I eat on occasion. But Bojangles? Oh they have good chicken, it is juicy and tender. The batter and the chicken are both seasoned exceptionaly well, their biscuits are wonderfully fluffy and buttery with the right amount of salt.
The sweet tea is by far the best you will buy out of a fast food place. It isn’t overly sweet and hasn’t been left out all day to where it gets that sickly taste to it, you know the taste.
Want my feccomendation? Get a 4 piece box with sauce, fries, a biscuit and dirty rice. If you don’t like it, give it here I will eat it.
