We tried the legendary iced sweet tea and it was just ok. The cups were completely filled to the top with ice. When I fought the congested serving line for a refill, I tried with no ice and discovered warm tea… so not a great idea. The tea is warm, but with the cup full of ice, it cooled it down and watered down the tea a bit.
Some of the condiments were in the serving line so I had to fight my way back up there for butter for the biscuit. No idea where the ketchup was, but I probably had to ask for it because it was nowhere to be found. I only found sporks which made it hard to spread butter. I must’ve had to ask for a knife as well.
Everything we ordered came out correct. I can’t say the same for three other people while waiting in line. Not a good sign when food and/or beverages were wrong for numerous people in a short span.
The thing that bothered me the most was the men’s restroom. It did not have a baby changing station in the stall. There is clearly enough room, but no changing table. I was forced to change my child on the floor… I love changing babies on floors in bathrooms….
With all the other options available, I probably won’t be back.
Stopped here on the way to the Outer Banks. Got a Cajun chicken fillet sandwich and a sausage biscuit and a large coffee. Nearly $11! Coffee was good. Rest was average. Probably would choose something else in area if I was travelling here again. Tons of options at this exit. They charged nearly .50 cents for water. I understand charging if only ordering water but no way the cup costs .50 cents. Just wasn’t as good as the other Bojangles I have visited.
What really made the visit stand out, though, was the customer service. Jayden was well-mannered and professional. I even called afterward to speak with the manager, Ciara (I hope I’m spelling her name right), and she was just as kind and appreciative.
Top-tier service all around. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for a positive experience with great food and even better people.
