Ordered the shrimp boil, garlic fries, calamari, and Oreo banana pudding. Overall, the shrimp boil had good flavor, but the shrimp itself was overcooked. The garlic fries were disappointing! barely any garlic flavor at all. The calamari was also overcooked and tough. Lastly, the Oreo banana pudding was honestly the worst I’ve ever had. Definitely not what I expected.

Friend and I visited San Diego tonight, had the first meal here. We both had shrimp boil topped on rice, and it was the best dish I’ve had this year. Shrimp cooked to perfection, juicy and sweet corn, fluffy aromatic rice, with amazing sauce.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Not only was the place slightly dirty. But we got our drinks wrong and the second round wasn’t any better either. They were supposed to be margaritas and they were not that great. The sausages tasted gross. Overall the food was bad. I wouldn’t even recommend this place. They even forgot our shrimps. They don’t even takes notes of the food we order. There is a strange after taste of the food. The price of everything was a waste of money.

Daddy’ Shrimp Bowl was very tasty. I had it with Daddy’s sauce, medium spicy, which was the perfect amount of spice for someone who is used to eating spicy food. I would not recommend the 3 flame spice unless you are a pro. We also went during happy hour (4-6pm), so IPAs off the tap were $5 for a 12 oz glass. The service was good, but some amenities like the TV options and internet were not available to me. Atmoshpere was good but not amazing. All in all the core restaurant experience was great. I would definitely come back!

We wanted to get out and have an early dinner (3-21-25). We decided to go to Liberty Station and try the new “The Boil Daddy”. I can say from the moment we walked in to when we left all full and happy from the seafood it was a great experience!
Our server, Aldrin, was out of this world! He was very attentive and helpful while deciding on our choices. There was even a robot ‘server’ roaming the floor. It would deliver our food and drinks (while accompanied by Aldrin). It would play music and talk to you too.

I was looking for a different restaurant, but Google routed me to this place and I decided to give it a shot! The atmosphere is so great. The restaurant was really clean and everybody was super friendly. Very good service. They have a robot waiter, which was super fun for my kids. We ordered a pound of green mussels, a pound of clams, 2 pounds of shrimp, corn on the cob and some garlic fries. The food was excellent. The garlic butter sauce was amazing with big chunks of garlic. There are so many adorable detail details in this place, From the big metal crabs to the adorable fish lighting fixtures. We visited from NY and tried this restaurant for the first time….WOW! What an amazing meal. We got the lobster tail, clams, mussels, snow crab legs. It comes with potatoes, sausage and corn on the cob. The clams were a little small but still tasty. I HIGHLY recommend. We were skeptical because it looks like a relatively small place and also we went with the flow on the experience and threw the food right on the table and it was awesome!

This is a really great casual place for dinner. Not fancy, but nice. I had looked at the menu before I went and knew I was going to get the King Crab legs. I am from the Midwest and love crab legs on the West Coast. The proprietor gave us personal service, great explanations, and good guidance. King Crab is never inexpensive, it is one of life’s luxuries. Here it comes at a very fair price. Our server (sorry I forgot her name) was fantastic. She was so friendly and attentive. Also the sausage that came with the dish was delicious . I went seeking a good King Crab place and I found everything I was looking for at Boil Daddy. If you want great food, and are not in the mood for a fancy dinner, this is the place.
