I’m so glad I chose this spot right when I landed in New Orleans. Came here with 3 of my buddies. We started things off with two drinks the “so fresh” and “Leche you later”. My friends got the bourbon and loved it ! My first time having char boiled oysters, and I fell in love 10/10. Got some crab cluster, and it was some good tasting crab. I love shrimp so I decided we wanted to share the two different kind of shrimps. We got the Gulf shrimp and the red royal shrimp. Both amazing but I like the red royal shrimp. Then I got myself their seafood pasta called De mer pasta. We got two desserts.
Bread pudding and their lemon icebox cake. Their lemon icebox cake with some of the best dessert I ever had must try. All the desserts are made and baked in house ! Our server was nice and the restaurant was clean ! Would definitely come back if I come back to the big easy.

Just checked out the newest spot in Lakeview — Boil & Barrel — and wow, it’s a game changer for the Lakeview area.

The atmosphere? Electric. Bourbon drinks flowing. Laughs echoing. It’s loud in the best way. You’ll leave with bellies full, hands messy, and already scheming your next visit.

Food was good. I had fish sandwich: fresh and very tasty. My sister had BBQ shrimp & grits: good with lots of shrimp.
We also had mussels meuniere as appetizer but mussels were very small. I also had a cup of shrimp boil bisque which was rather tasty.
Note: we ordered a bottle of RS Chalk Hill chardonnay thinking it was a Chalk Hill, but found out it was a Rodney Strong from Chalk Hill. But I was pleasantly surprised.
Service, although pleasant, could be a little more attentive, but now I’m being nit picky.

Boil and Barrel was absolutely outstanding from start to finish!!. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and every single thing we ordered was perfect! The Brussels sprouts and crawfish mac n cheese were ridiculous, packed with flavor and honestly some of the best appetizers I’ve had anywhere.
The staff was on point the whole time, friendly, professional, and fast. Service was flawless. The GM was exceptional and runs a tight ship. You can tell they care about your experience. Food, service, vibe, all 10/10. This place is a must.

This is an excellent spot for a great meal. The menu is expansive, including many specialty cocktails. Would highly recommend requesting Sidney as a server. He is extremely knowledgeable, gregarious, and welcoming. We will definitely be returning!

Obsessed. This is hands-down one of the best happy hours around. My girlfriends and I popped in after work and I’m so happy we did. Fresh, delicious seafood (the oysters are a must), amazing bourbon cocktails, and a vibe that’s equal parts chic and cozy. The drinks are smooth, the food is crave-worthy, and the staff makes you feel so welcome. Will 100% be back

What a gem, happy hour is a steal with craft cocktails from actual mixologists—fresh, balanced, and seriously inventive. The mussels and fries combo… Absolute perfection, white wine with just enough garlic to make you keep going back for more and then using the fries to soak it all up. The Frutti di Mare entrees absolutely hit every mark. Soon to be our local hangout!!

Towering, endless rows begging for a sip… tasting flights let you wander from the known winners to those that you’ve heard of but not yet tried. Happy hour’s a secret gem—discounted pours and bites that make you stay longer. Mixologists behind the bar aren’t just pouring, they’re shaking up drinks with herbs and house syrups that’ll ruin you for chain bars forever. And entrees… every single plate bursts—from crab cakes and mussels and fries to a delicious burger, portions are generous. Service stays personal; they greet us by name, refills slide over silent, no rush. Five stars, hands down.

Loved this new restaurant. Really liked the decor and vibe. Been there a couple times and the service has always been great. Staff seems to read the patrons perfectly and service is geared appropriately. When I think of perfectly prepared and seasoned Louisiana seafood, Boil and Barrel has hit the mark on everything I’ve tried and I’ve tried soups, fried, boiled and more. B&B also provides an extensive selection of bourbons and offers you a chance to sample a flight of your choice. The bar is not limited to bourbon alone there is a wide choice of beers and spirits of all kind. The place also provides outdoor spaces to both dine and comfortably chill. All in all this is now one of my favorite places to both dine and hang. I recommend everybody hit this place up.

Service was outstanding, Food was great, atmosphere was what we were looking for. The Hushpuppies were the first time in over 2 decades that someone in New Orleans made them properly They were outstanding. Hats off to the manager. The guy was absolutely amazing
