One of my favorite restaurants in NYC! All vegetarian, with great chicken imitation (and other meats too). I have come multiple times, and everything I have …

Tried 3 new dishes which were blah!! I don’t personally recommend them, the pumpkin soup, Singapore noodles & this cold salad!! Otherwise, everything that I normally order are delicious as always!!! Highly recommend each & everyone of those dishes!!! Service was on point today!!

Limited but delicious menu. Their vegetarian dishes here are flavorful, acceptable portions and a little too much MSG for my liking. Very clean dinging room. Huge space with cafe in the front. Large kitchen. Service is wonderful and prompt. Their tea selections are of good quality.

Beautiful and clean decor. Service was lacking. We arrived before 5 pm on Sunday and the restaurant was not busy at all. We sat down and the waitress handed a device for us to order and walked away. While we were deciding on our selections, we flagged the waitress down for hot tea/water. From a distance, she just pointed to the device signaling us to order drinks from there. But the drinks were the expensive teas and coffee we didn’t want. We just wanted plain water. We asked again when she came back to approve our order on the device.

We didn’t like any of the variety of dishes we ordered. Maybe it’s because everything had the same texture but just covered with different sauces. After chewing for a while, we all gave up and left at least half of the food. We paid our bills and left without packing any leftover.

No complimentary fruit or dessert offered at the end of our meal which was unexpected from an Asian restaurant.

The dinner was far from the vegeterian meals we’ve had in Hong Kong. The search for a decent Chinese vegetarian restaurant continues…

I loved this place. Delicious and healthy. Following principles of Buddhism, the food is not as strongly flavored or seasoned as other Chinese restaurants. Wish I had this near my home. Reminded me of the Temples that I ate at in Hong Kong.

A true vegetarian restaurant without even having to ask for it. It is not a question of have they got the vegetarian options, directly on their menu is proposed each dishes that have a sign that expresses their distinction. Large offer of meals all delicious one more than the other and in big quantities for Doggy bags to bring back home without even needing to ask.
The staff is caring and quick.
After a lunch or a dinner there is the coffee shop of the same name which prepares coffee made of bean originated from volcanic earth. Deserts are also vegetarian and changes from time to time.
An excellent table for vegetarian as well as meat eaters for families, couples or solo food fans.
Highly recommend

First time at a vegan place. I was mildly surprised at the taste. I thought I would need a pizza afterwards. However the food texture was good and left me satisfied.

A great place to get classic Chinese staples turned vegetarian.

As a vegetarian of Hong Kong ancestry, it’s hard going to dim sum and breaking my vegetarianism. But this place fixes it by offering vegetarian alternatives. A friend and I ordered a lot of classic dim sum dishes such as ha gao and siu mai.
The BBQ pork cheung fun had an interesting texture to the fake meat. It reminds me of the Buddhist fake meat I used to eat as a kid when I visited family in Hong Kong. Tasty, though. The texture of the noodle was a bit rubbery, though.
The baked char siu bao was good. The sugary topping was a bit too sticky, but the BBQ flavor came through. The bread was light and airy.
The ha gao had a hint of ginger, and the texture was a bit crunchy with the different bites inside. Does anyone know what the fake shrimp is made of? I couldn’t place it.
The siu mai was more of a deviation from the meat version with its sticky rice filling. I like the sticky rice wrapped in jasmine leaves, but the siu mai rice didn’t have a lot of flavor.
We also got thin noodles. The sauce was perfect, and the noodles were a bit chewy.

Not pictured is my giant chai tea latte. Which had a lot more coffee that you’d expect for a chai tea. I didn’t like the coffee part, although it’s on me since it was in the coffee section, not the tea one.

Overall not bad! I’d come back to try other dim sum classics such as the football shaped fried dough.

Delicious vegetarian Buddhist-Chinese cuisine, in a touchingly peaceful and beautifully decorated restaurant space. We really enjoyed the different mock-meats, especially the mock-bbq pork and the fried bread (which might have been a mock-fried cutlet). The veggie sushi was also wonderful, we got the volcano roll which was topped with mango and had some fried stuff (pineapple?) around the side. Really great stuff, definitely worth a visit.

Amazing restaurant! So many creative and impeccably executed dishes. The vegetarian pork was sooo good as was every other meat imitation product in the appetizer plate we ordered. So great to enjoy these dishes as a vegan!!!! The space is beautiful too. We will certainly be back!
