I did a little research online and this restaurant was listed as one of the best in the Augusta area and I can see why. The atmosphere was welcoming and unique, and the service and food were top-tier. The owner and sommelier spent time with us and was so thoughtful and informative as to their history! Highly recommend!

Nice place to stop. Didn’t have any alcohol but there is a large selection. The food was ok, under-seasoned and a bit dry. (Breakfast Burrito) Iced tea was weak. Salt shakers were severely rusted. The staff were very observant.

When we pulled up for breakfast on a weekend at about 9 a.m., and the parking lot was empty, that should have told us all we needed to know. The food here was horrendous. Our table had 2 chicken biscuits, scrambled eggs, grits, yogurt with “homemade” granola, bacon, and a bagel. The bagel and bacon were the only things that were good. The eggs were not only burnt, but they tasted like someone accidentally spilled the salt shaker in them, I sent them back and didn’t wish for new ones. The chicken was dry and tough as a rock, and the grits were average at best. I’m not sure how on earth this place has any good ratings. Our server was wonderful!

Bodega Última is an absolute gem in Augusta! The food is fresh, creative, and full of flavor—every dish feels thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, whether you’re inside enjoying the cozy vibe or outside on the pet-friendly patio. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. From brunch to coffee to wine and gelato, they’ve truly got something special for every occasion. Can’t wait to come back again and again!

Very relaxing and classy atmosphere. My server was very kind and suggested a cranberry pineapple mimosa. It was exactly what I was craving! I got a salmon blt and the bacon was perfectly crispy and balanced with the other flavors of the cream cheese and salmon and lettuce. The croissant was toasted to light and crispy. This restaurant is good for a brunch with friends or a casual date. I did notice the extensive wine selection inside and will be coming back for a date with my husband.

Second visit and I was pretty disappointed, especially since my first experience was amazing. The first time we were greeted, the service was on point, the food had great flavor, and the MIMSOA was chef’s kiss.

This time, we weren’t greeted and seated ourselves—we sat inside. I ordered something different and honestly struggled to find the flavor. I’m not expecting my mother’s or grandmother’s cooking, but I do expect seasoning. Even the MIMSOA missed the mark this visit, which really surprised me.

I’m still willing to give it another try because my first visit set the bar so high. I’m from this area born and raised—Surrey Center has always been known for restaurants with unique taste and style. Y’all definitely have the style—the touch just wasn’t touching this time. Hopefully, third time’s a charm.

I don’t take any pleasure in leaving a critical review, but our experience at Bodega Ultima on June 12 warrants some honest feedback. We visited for brunch based on the glowing five-star reviews but were very disappointed.

The positives:
– Our server, Reese M., was nice and understanding.
– The restaurant looks great
– It appears they have an extensive collection of wines

The negative:
– The food

I ordered the Pat’s Chicken Sandwich, cheese grits and a coffee. The sandwich was a biscuit with a piece of fried chicken doused in a sauce. I took one bite to taste it and a second to confirm what I thought I tasted (see photo). The grits were basic, topped with barely-melted shredded cheddar and mozzarella. The coffee had the bitterness of having sat too long on a burner.

My wife ordered the hummus, cheese grits and coffee. The plate looked like it was assembled from standard grocery store items – nothing you couldn’t pick up at a Publix.

We chose not to finish our meal. To Reese’s credit, she reduced the bill a little. We were still out $45.17. We paid and went elsewhere.

After scrolling through the reviews more carefully, I noticed a pattern: many five-star ratings from accounts that appear to leave five stars everywhere they go.

I loved all of the decor and the staff was all smiling and friendly! I ordered the apple french toast and it was amazing! First time I’ve tried Brussels sprouts and it did not disappoint! My Gf had the chicken sandwich and I loved the “papas” potatoes that came with it. Would love to go back

We decided to try a new place for breakfast/brunch. The bar is beautiful, with an extensive selection of liquors and wines. We debated sitting there, but it was such a pretty day, so we chose outdoor seating. This is a pet friendly place, so several people were able to bring their dogs. The owner (Cary) has his beautiful, friendly, and well behaved terrier, ASH, who welcomes and greets everyone.
The service was prompt and attentive. I ordered the Salmon BLT Bagel with an egg, lox, bacon, tomato, cream cheese, and avocado – DELICIOUS! My friend ordered the Jamon Croissant, which had egg, ham, and provolone. She also ordered a side of cheese grits, which was a generous portion – enough for two. With the exception of a few bites shared with Ash, she enjoyed hers! We can’t wait to go back and suggest you give it a try!

Very chic looking restaurant on a nice side of Augusta. Came in for breakfast with very few people. The staff was welcoming with smiles and I elected to sit outside in their covered space next to a very pretty fountain in the rear. Ordered a cold brew Latte and the Lox bagel. Serving portions were amazing for the price. Capers tasted fresh and the floral notes were right on que with their cured salmon. Was pretty salty, but nothing too unbearable. Smoke flavor still came throug. The cream cheese had a wonderful consistency as well. Veggies were crisp.

Coffee was nothing super memorable, but was more then adequate and a great compliment to the bagel.

Would most definitely return and try more of their menu.
