We stopped in for drinks a few times during our stay at dolphin beach resort and absolutely loved the vibe that the bar tender Ryan gave! As soon as we sat at his bar, we felt like we had a new friend. The drinks were delicious and the conversation was phenomenal, keep being your wonderful self Ryan! We were not overly impressed. Not that anything was terrible, just blah. We went for supper, arrived around 8:10. Bar drinks ordered right away but didn’t come until the waitress brought the meal. She just kind of chuckled it off and said sorry. When we arrived, one table was done eating but still there, so not busy in any sense of the word. Everything just seemed slow, not necessarily bad, just kind of gave a blah experience to the evenings meal. Told at about 8:30 to get dessert ordered, kitchen closed in 10 minutes. Thought they were open until 9 but must be the staff out the door time, not serving time, which was fine, just made us feel rushed and it wasn’t a cheap meal even after applying our Groupon deal to the total. Did leave a good tip food was okay-nothing fancy, but okay. Not sure but think the coconut shrimp was frozen and it was over cooked, but that can happen when deep frying. Overall, it was okay, but with so many options in this same price range, we’d make a different choice of restaurants next time. For our 40th anniversary supper, best described as ho-hum.
