The marinated vegetables that they give with the bread were fresh and appreciated by those that don’t eat bread. The brussel sprouts were delicious and the lamb was 5stars but unfortunately it’s another Over priced chain restaurant / steak house and that’s the reason for 3 stars . Food came out barely warm with a weird, soggy, awkward looking carrot. The Tomahawk steak for $130 did not live up to what someone would reasonably expect – no flavor, barely warm ,lacked presentation. For an additional $10-15 we ordered the bone marrow butter which was delicious(it should come with it to begin with) but the waiter removed it from the table before we could take it to go . For $100 you can get the ribeye( basic thick-cut grocery store ribeye )with the weird slimy carrot and a side of soggy potatoes . Tuna tartar was served with slightly frozen tuna. If you get an alcoholic beverage, make sure you are specific to the amount of alcohol you want in it or it’s three shots and so strong you won’t want to drink it. The mocktail’s are overfilled with ice so you’ll get a few sips for $10-$12 . Waiter was nice , atmosphere was good and we had a great time, just not what one would expect.

Bobs did a great job making good on accommodating our party of 4 when a situation arose from a private booking for the restaurant closed the restaurant to the public. We had booked the restaurant reservation a year in advance and were bummed to find out this was happening; however the establishment being top notch like they are kept their word and set us up as a private party in the bourbon tasting room located down the hall from the restaurant in the hotel. Our waiter Kyle took great care of us and really made the experience wonderful! Thank you Bob’s steak house and Kyle more importantly for making our time at Bob’s steak house in Louisville memorable!

We just came here because they were the only steakhouse in the area that had an open table reservation available. We were very happy with our choice! Hadn’t even heard of it before. Our server Antoinette was amazing! I am not usually a fan of seafood but my husband and daughter wanted to do the seafood platter as an app so we tried it and I loved the crab cakes and lobster. We tried several cocktails and all of them were delicious. We all got different steaks and they were definitely in my top 5 for sure! Would highly recommend this place to anyone! Also, the portion sizes were well worth the price.

Bob’s Steak & Chop House restaurant, situated within the Omni Louisville Hotel in Louisville, pays tribute to Louisville’s heritage, showcasing the city’s rich history of thoroughbred racing, Muhammad Ali, and the Kentucky bourbon industry through its decor. Our server, Kyle, provided exceptional service; he was always present when needed but unobtrusive, never interrupting our conversations. Thank you, Kyle! The menu offered a wide selection, and our dishes were prepared to order with perfectly timed transitions between courses. Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed the steaks, and the side dishes were delicious and ample. From beginning to end, it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Bob’s Steak & Chop House in Louisville.

I enjoy stopping in at Bob’s when I am in town as it has been a good place for steaks and their quality has been consistent.

This time for drinks I decided to try their signature in house Negroni . Good , strong but different in aftertaste than what I am used to .

Appetizers was jumbo shrimp cocktail with a nice hint of horseradish on top . Very good way to start the meal .

Main course we chose the New York strip with a side of the skillet fried potatoes (pepper gravy sauce and onions asked on the side ) and a ribeye with smashed potatoes. Both dishes came with the classic glazed carrot . Steaks were grilled to perfection and sides were good .

Staff is very attentive and help with any question we had to describe the dish .

The restaurant is located on the inside of a hotel which is very nicely lit up and almost modern looking , whereas the restaurant is dark and could use a bit of sprucing up .

Definitely will be returning as the food is good and the quality remains consistent

Our first time here we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The experience was good, but not really amazing. I was expecting more flavor in the steak, but like I said, it was good. We appreciate the incredible attention of our waitress. I don’t remember her name but she made us feel very welcome.
I recommend this place for more casual events!

Unforgettable Valentine’s Dinner at Bob’s Steak & Chop House

My wife and I were in Louisville Kentucky for an educational conference at the Galt House and decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Bob’s Steak & Chop House—and what an incredible choice it was!

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, striking the perfect balance between upscale elegance and genuine hospitality. The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience.

Now, the food—absolutely phenomenal. The steaks were cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and unbelievably tender. Every bite was a testament to the quality and care that goes into their preparation. The sides were equally impressive, perfectly complementing the main courses. And let’s not forget dessert—pure indulgence!

Bob’s Steak & Chop House delivered a dining experience that was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving an outstanding meal, this is the place to go in Louisville. We’ll absolutely be returning the next time we’re in town!

We love Bob’s and eat at the Texas location frequently. While in Louisville, we stopped into Bob’s while staying at the Omni. We sat at the bar and placed an order of onion rings and a steak. After 30 minutes, the food runner arrived with onion rings and they were literally burned to the point of being black. I refused the food and asked about the steak but got no answer from the wait staff. The manager never came over to update us despite the wait staff asking for updates multiple times. We finally just got up, left money for the drinks, and walked out. We were appalled at the experience, as this is not the Bob’s we’re accustomed to in Texas.
