Awesome roadside BBQ! Worth getting off the interstate. Super easy access. The proprietors are super nice and welcoming. Don’t be fooled by the touristy billboards for Florida Citrus center (which has cool stuff and is worth walking through).
Just smelling the smoke is free, but order the food, which is stupid good. We had the rib tips, which fell off the bone and very flavorful. The baked beans were also amazing (flavored with cinnamon?)
Put it this way, there’s a reason they’ve bean (pun intended) in business for 14 years.

Bob’s Famous BBQ did not disappoint! Our family dinner was absolutely delicious. The ribs and chicken were full of smoke flavor, and the BBQ sauce had an amazing taste that pulled everything together. The collard greens tasted homemade, the potato salad was creamy and perfectly seasoned, and all the flavors on the plate were spot on. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend!

My husband and I drove from Orange Park to here after a few of his coworkers highly recommended it. One said that he comes every week. We purchased the double rib tips, chicken & ribs dinner, and 1/2 chicken dinner. Good grief, it was a lot of food and it all was so tender and delicious. It was hard for me to choose which sauce was the best, so I’ll likely get all of them the next time we go. I don’t have a pic of the rib tips because I dropped them off to my “picky eater” mom who absolutely raved about them. I can’t lie, they were THAT good! Actually, all of the food was. Then, you add great customer service from the ladies, you’ll see why Bob’s is famous. Looking forward to our next visit. We can’t wait to try other items on the menu.

I usually wait to leave a review after multiple visits to really get a feel for a place. I’m big on consistency. I don’t mind the cost as long as you can be consistently good. Every time I visit this establishment I spend $30-$50 minimum on a dinner and a dessert. It’s been a while since it’s been worth the drive and price.
I don’t know who’s making the sides, said with love, find a new person to cook those. The mac and cheese has been horrendous the last few visits. The yams aren’t sweet. Rib tips are hit or miss. I really hate to leave a bad review because I like patronizing this business, but I want them to care more and do better.

Bob’s is a walk up and order your food at a window for carry out service. There may have been a few picnic tables to sit at, but it was raining and I didn’t pay much attention to the surroundings.
I had the Rib ends with collard greens and oxtail rice. Hubby had half slab of ribs with the same sides.
Both ribs were delicious! Served with their 3 sauce combo, which everyone needs to try.
Collard greens were cooked with smoked turkey. This was really good with such a great taste.
We have never had oxtail rice, but I am glad we tried it. Great flavor! Will definitely order again, as well as everything else.

This spot is right off the highway, parking is good for the location and clean. It is a walk up and order not a sit down location. They make it easy for you to sit in your car and wait instead of in the heat by giving you a “buzzer” for when your food is ready. There are two benches to sit while you wait if you do prefer. The woman who took my order was so sweet and pleasant as well as the staff preparing and handing out orders. Prices are reasonable for the food amount and quality. I ordered ribs, chicken (dark meat), wings, mac n cheese, string beans (they were out of Collard greens), ox tail rice, yams, baked beans, potato salad, Strawberry cheesecake pound cake, butter pound cake, sweet tea, and blue lemonade. They have 4 different sauces Sweet and Tangy, Mild, spicy, and Maul (all mixed as one). All sauces are mustard based except the Spicy. My favorite was the sweet and tangy. The ribs and chicken were perfect I could have honestly eaten them without any sauce at all. The Mac n cheese was good but not my favorite side unfortunately. It’s missing something. All other sides with grand praise to the oxtail rice were great. Yams were sweet but not overly sweet.; will always be a go to for me for this reason. Each dinner comes with 3 pieces of bread. The Arnold Palmer was amazing. The blue lemonade alone was good but if you don’t like super sweet drinks add a little water. The pound cakes were very good and the serving size to everything is more than enough. Please don’t expect to come and get your food instantly. You will wait a little, especially if you have a large order like I did. Best option is to order online (limited food options) or call in (for all food options). I drove 45min and I’d do it again.

I’m not the type to get excited over food but this place is a gem. I’m not big on mustard or mustard based anything- my whole sauce cup was gone. My plate was licked clean. If you’re passing by, you gotta check this place out. I cannot include pictures because I inhaled my food upon first sight. 10/10 will be coming again!

Stopped by last night on my way back to Gainesville and got the ribs & Mac n cheese. SOOO good!! I grew up where my family had a BBQ food truck so we know good BBQ and this place does NOT disappoint. Like walking into someone’s backyard for a cookout where the Chef KNOWS what they’re doing!!! I’ll be back on my next trip out of state

So my husband works in the area for some time now . So I asked him if he stop by this place because I kept seeing advertisements on Facebook. So yesterday we finally tried it . He purchased 2 rib dinners , oxtails rice , and 2 sides comes with each rib dinner. Totals was $52.49 . So first off the actual rib was flavored good and the special sauce was good as well. But was bit disappointed because the rib dinner only had 3 pieces of rib not full pieces of meat either like half of meat missing so i was very disappointed in the amount they give . The collar greens was good and mac n cheese was for sure good. But overall not a place I would try again for ribs but the oxtails rice was reasonably priced.
