I honestly can’t believe that I am a Charlotte native and this is my first time eating at this establishment. My parents and grandparents grew up eating here and they used to pile it up. In reference to the food, I had a cheeseburger with tomato, lettuce, ketchup and slaw with crinkled fries topped with Bar B Que sauce. In my opinion the food was very good. The only thing was that I wish that the hamburger itself had more flavor. Overall, I would definitely get it again. I didn’t know that they serve breakfast, that’s always a plus. They had a variety of different foods on there menu to accommodate everyone. Thank you Pile Em Up Bob’s.

Bob’s is located in an older building with a gravel parking lot. The building itself shows it age & isn’t the cleanest, but it’s important to keep these older establishments alive.
Bob’s does take cash or card & the meal options are listed above. They seem to have a variety of options to choose, including a hearty breakfast menu.
For my meal option, I ordered the double cheeseburger (all the way) & the hot dog special. All the way includes chili, coleslaw, & all of the usual burger toppings you’d expect.
The double cheeseburger was quite delicious. I thought it was well seasoned & had a nice blend of flavor where each topping complimented each other.
The hot dogs were good, not great. The chili & coleslaw helped provide additional flavor to them.
The fries were crispy but needed seasoning. They didn’t seem to have any seasoning on them at all. Overall, they were bland & I had to season them when I got home.
If you’re in a hurry or looking for an affordable carry out option, Bob’s may be the spot for you.

It appears to be very popular place. It was my first time there and i waited in the car soi can’t comment on inside of facity.
Food was not that great to me. Whiteing fish pieces were tiny, popcorn shrimp had no flavor. Not for me.

I was craving a Hotdog. This is were I ended up after a couple of Google searches. The food was good and plenty. Yes, the grade matters, and it was good. I hope to make it to breakfast one day. No seating, you order To Go. Good Customer Service.

Placed a Dinner order for pork chops and what I received was a plate of dog scraps fried BONES! (see photos)
When I called to report and to ask if they check plates prior to handing to customers, JOHNNY was apologetic and said “bring the plate back we can replace it.” 17miles in 5:00 traffic. I had just fought traffic (accident) to get home. I asked if I could send pictures he said they needed the plate. I’m not driving almost 20miles with food they’ll clearly throw away. A complete waste of my time and money. Never EVERRRRR returning again!

Bob’s is great. Plenty of food, very affordable. Been coming here for years and always good. You’ll be back. Bring your friends to impress them, it’s a hidden gem, know in the neighborhood and with working folks but missed by many all over town. I personally usually get cheeseburger and fries but onion rings are really good and sometimes I get chicken but burger is personal choice. I bet you won’t be disappointed whatever you get unless you don’t like be helpings or good food.

I had this place on my list for a while. It wasn’t bad – just nothing to get excited about. I had read the double cheeseburger was among the best in Charlotte, so I had high expectations. Upon tasting it, it wasn’t anything special or worth making a special trip to. Place is a hole in the wall – which I generally like in an old, must-go establishment. Staff was friendly enough. But the burger certainly will not draw me back. It’s also a bit pricey for a simple double cheeseburger.

Great value for price. I visited yesterday and got a Bacon Cheeseburger, no chili or slaw. There was so much food the box wouldn’t even close all the way!
The burger was put together really well, too. Not too much of the condiments — to where everything was sliding out as I was holding it. I’d say it’s probably one of the best takeout burgers I’ve had in a while.
My only suggestion would be to season the fries with something. Salt and pepper, or even old bay. Just anything. They were very bland otherwise.
