I got a 3 meat plate- Ribs, spicy boudin and brisket. Everything was excellent!!! Big thick meaty tender ribs, the brisket was so juicy and tender with a smoky seasoned bark and the boudin,……yessir!!! Salw is good but, those baked beans !! Nice smokiness to them!! One of my favorite spots in TX now!!! Great friendly staff, hearty plates!! Thank yall!!! The pics are after I microwaved it after a while….these plates are hot and juicy and heavy!!!

ALERT: TOP TEN ENTRY FOR BAKED BEANS NATIONWIDE. One of the 2013 Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ Joints, which failed to make the cut in 2017 and 2021. We stopped by (our 90th ‘cue stop in Texas and the 380th nationwide) to learn whether they were still trimming the bark off the brisket (they are), and using a microwave to warm the plate (still the case). $35.18 purchased a 2 meat platter (brisket and links) with a medium side of baked beans, and a sausage plate with a medium side of potato salad. The latter is our favorite commercial product, while the beans are terrific– a rich molasses based bowl into which we dipped the otherwise bland brisket to add flavor. The sausage and links both proved to be good bites, both packing heat, especially the links. We finished up with a sinfully good serving of pecan cobbler that, like the beans, we heartily recommend..

What a gem. We got the 3 meat plate plus a hot link. Ribs, chicken & brisket. Beans and potato salad. Everything was delicious. Ribs was our favorite. Sides were seasoned well. Bob was a delight to talk to. A must stop if you are in east Texas.

Drove in from Houston for a business trip felt like eating BBQ Google it and Bob’s pop out . Drove to location order sliced brisket and rib plate my compadre order 3 meat plate . Needless to say brisket and ribs are very good and hospitality is very welcoming we even had a laugh at the end over slices of bread. Awesome people.

For a hole in the wall BBQ this place is extremely clean, this is a family run business and when you’re in here you’re treated like family. Now onto the food I’ve had the brisket and the sausage and the ribs and it’s all good the only thing I can’t figure out is why you would take good food and heat it up in the microwave and and destroy a perfectly good piece of meat. The bands are homemade and the potato salad is store bought and some of the pies. With that all said I still keep coming back.

I love this place it reminds me of my home town rib place called Hilary’s in Waukegan IL. The only thing I find lacking it the portion for the price. Sausage only 6 pieces and brisket 7 slices. I know got to make a profit, but you don’t have to make a killing. Let your customer enjoy. Especially out of towners.

We found this place by accident while driving through and decided to give them a try. We were not disappointed.
This is by far the best brisket I have ever had, and having been born and raised in Texas should say everything.
The staff has always been the friendliest ever time we have visited. Each time we have visited from Houston, we have made it a point to stop by and get some of their food. We love it!

This place has been around since before I was born and the food quality has never waivered. The portions are great. The beans are out of this world! The bar-b-q is tender and has the best flavor. This is not a commercialized establishment. It’s very small and personable. While it’s not super cheap, the prices are average and competitive. I can guarantee you will not be unhappy if you choose Bob’s Bar-B-Que.

I tried this place for the first time today. The first thing i noticed was how good it smelled. Then I noticed not 1 but 2 microwaves wich is never a good sign. I remained optimistic until I saw the lady that was ringing me up stick my Styrofoam container in the microwave . At this point I knew I was in for a treat. I paid the 20 bucks at this point she pulled my food out of the microwave put it in a bag and off i went. The ribs i got were dry oily and and had little flavor it was the same with the brisket. I thought we’ll ill just drowned it in bbq sauce and it’ll be ok but nope turned out it tasted more like catchup then bbq sauce. The lady at the cash register was super sweet however I will not be going back. One word of advice lose the MICROWAVES.
