The three nimrods met up with another old friend from grade school here for lunch. This restaurant was easy to find and conveniently located half way between Kansas City Missouri and Wichita Kansas. A cozy and welcoming place with a comfortable atmosphere and super friendly staff. Our waitress , Daisy made us feel like regulars and provided us with a pleasant experience from start to finish. The brisket was really good, tasty and moist. Nimrod #1 had burnt ends on his mixed plate and reported them to be mostly fat and not very good but enjoyed the sausage. Everyone enjoyed the fries but agreed that the sauce and beans were just average. And the BBQ journey continues……

The food was flavorful and delicious. I had the 3 Meat + 1 and I got the Brisket, Sausage, and the Burnt Ends! The rib comes as one side and I chose the steak fries! I highly recommend the steak fries, the rib, and the burnt ends. The sausage was also quite good and the grill makes were awesome. The brisket was a bit over cooked for me, but it was still tasty. I would recommend it to anyone. We were in town for a work trip and tried this place out at 11:00am. The wait staff were very friendly and checked on you at the right times! She also kept my drink filled which I was highly impressed with! Will seek to eat here anytime I’m up this way.

Clean, good friendly service. Nice selection. I had the 3+1. The Burnt Ends were excellent. The rib was overcooked, on the dry side. The Cheesy Taters were also yummy.

I went to get the Pulled Pork Sandwich meal for a late lunch and the Pulled Pork is definitely tender and very easy to chew. I like how it’s served plain so you can add your own Choice of Regular or Spicy BBQ sauce. I got the Baked Beans and fries for my sides but wished I would of got Double Beans because when my order finally came after waiting about 15 minutes they were warm at best and almost tasted kind of old with some of them being real crunchy and others just right. I could tell though that if they were hot fresh out the Fryer they would be delicious so if ordering fries make sure to request fresh or no salt. The sandwich was super delicious but at the same time wasn’t as warm as I would of liked. The Beans though were definitely warm and
they were tied for first with the Pulled Pork Sandwich in the taste department. Will I go back, Definitely, but when I do I’m getting Double Beans and maybe a slice of cheese for my sandwich or a pickle slice.I would of liked it to be a little better lit inside and maybe have the food brought out hotter. It seemed more exspensive too because I use to only pay 10 something for the same meal but mine came up to 13.29 but I paid 18 to include the tip since the waitresses was only working by herself and busy. This place is very tasty though and still never dissapoints for the most part.

Very friendly welcome on phone that I placed a 4lb to go order of brisket to take back to PA where I’m from. Very friendly at restaurant when I went to pick up and they found me 2 other bottles of their own mild bbq sauce that was very nice of them. Top notch service
Brisket was just ok tho. Nothing special. Didn’t have a smoke taste at all and I believe it was left overs maybe from a day or two ago as most of the meat didn’t have any juice to it at all. Some was downright dry.
Would not go back. Best of luck with your endeavors

Decent bbq, really liked the brisket! The beans were really REALLY good. The cobbler was a HUGE disappointment. Check out the pic and tell me if YOU think this is cobbler. Overall I’d go back if I was in the area, if just go elsewhere for dessert.

I love their BBQ!
I used to wait every Friday or Saturday just to eat their Prime Rib dinner, their Prime rib is to die for. It’s extremely juicy and tender. I recommend ordering it with cheesy potatoes.
Their specialty cheesecake is great. I’ve tried different kinds, but the best one is red velvet cheesecake.
I love their onion rings and baked potato.
During the weekend the place is crowded you may need to wait for 15 mins or more.

I had 8 wing basket with mild sauce.The wings were dry and barely came off the bone. The mild sauce was HOT! RUNNY NOSE HOT! My husband had the Bobby Ds Stack. Made with burnt ends… they must have been yesterdays along with the wings because it was dry and hard to eat. We haven’t been in this restaurant for a couple years, which then it was pretty good BBQ. Well it will probaly be longer than a couple years before we go back in there to eat. The waitress was freindly.

Overall disappointing experience. Brisket was flavorless & looked like pot roast. Rib was cold & meh. The burnt ends were ridiculously tough. The turkey was very moist, but I get the feeling it wasn’t smoked though. The beans were good.
Friendly staff & I love the atmosphere. Sadly the food was a big let down.
