I did a search for best steak house in DC and this one came up. I see why ….. the food was amazing. The ambience was great and it was very busy for a weeknight at 7pm
The waiter we had maybe needed some more finesse in his service. Poured red wine and spilled it on the tablecloth then just plonked down a steak knife randomly on the table to my partner having spaghetti !!! A discrepancy on the bill but the female manager was great in resolving it for us. Overall a delicious meal.

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Bobby Van’s. April greeted us with a smile and took us to our table. She was kind and engaging, often stopping by our table to check on us and engage in small conversations. Carlos then came to take our order. He was friendly and extremely attentive. He made great recommendations and was always there when we needed him. The food…..AMAZING, and the drinks were perfect! We will definitely be back!

Bobby Van’s continues to knock it out of the park with their exceptional service, scrumptious menu, and satisfying drink selections. We have had Nelson as our server several times and he always makes us sure we have a fabulous dining experience. There was a rather large party going on in the party room, but you wouldn’t be able to tell with the way that Nelson and the rest of the dining staff took such great care of us. We will be back time and time again.

First time at Bobby Van’s and wow did I have the five star treatment! We were lucky enough to be in a private room, where the amazing Norbert was our server/Phenomenal Restaurant Guide through the Bobby Van’s experience. From start to finish he was the perfect host and to consider him just a server would be a crime. He could teach classes, and, while you know some of his talent is training, a lot is just him and his natural ability to read the guest and know what they need and want. Favorite foods while there: Crispy Thick Cut Bacon – THAT PEPPERCORN SAUCE, Garlic mashed potatoes – best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot of potatoes…), and finally the in-house swiss chocolate ice cream and chocolate chip pecan blondie. *chef’s kiss*.

I frequent Bobby Vans quite regularly, both for personal dinners and corporate/business dinners, and always have an absolutely incredible experience. From the management to the serving staff, it’s always great! Special shoutout to Carlos, he consistently goes above and beyond with friendly and knowledgeable service, for many of my private dinners and business events.
The food is amazing! The service is outstanding! 10/10 recommend. It has been my favorite restaurant for several years now.
