If you are traveling by river, Bobbys is the only stop for fuel, dockage, and restaurant in an approximately 225 mile stretch ( Mobile Bay – Demopolis).

We were traveling up river in a heat wave, so the chance to tie up at Bobby’s and put the air conditioner onto shore power was an opportunity not to be missed.

The floating docks (3 star) are not the best but they work and have power.

The restaurant features southern style seafood and is great (5 star) when/if it is open.

It’s not fancy. It’s not supposed to be.
What it is, is a place to get the best Southern Fried Fish around.

With warm Southern hospitality, generous portions, and fair prices, you won’t find a better place to eat fish. They’ve been doing this a long time and have it perfected.

While traveling, we make it a point of stopping here anytime we’re within 100 miles.

WARNING!!! It’s easy to mess up and eat too much fish and not have room for some of their homemade deserts.
If you hold your mouth just right, and have a bit of luck, there will be some carrot cake. It’s so good, you’ll want to hug the cook.

You can’t go wrong eating here. Everything is fresh not frozen. The catfish is caught fresh everyday. Great atmosphere, the river is right outside the door. All you can eat catfish is the way to go. They even make their tarter sauce themselves. Can’t say enough about this place. Down home Southern hospitality. I’m ready to go back right now…LOL really!

Stayed at a campground down the road and had dinner here. My husband had the catfish dinner. I had the crab cake dinner. It’s a family owned fishcamp that serves great food. The portions are so generous, we had almost a complete meal leftover! Will definitely be back.

A favorite of my family and mine. The all you can eat fish right from the Tombigbee is Alabama’s finest. You won’t get any fresher than this. Every time I visit my folks, I make it a point to go down to Bobby’s…. Y’all should too.

So… this is a has been place. It might have been fun years ago but not today. Two of the four 50 amp dock powers blew up in our face. One water hose for the entire dock. The restaurant is closed. Mud all around. I suggest anchoring out for the night. Don’t waste your money on dockage here.

The beat catfish on any river. The MV Desperados always plan ahead on its trip from St Louis to Fl. We plan our trip so we can enjoy the food and their hospitality

The only place on the river from Demopolis to Mobile to get gas or fuel. Unfortunately, the proprietors are not going to reopen the restaurant.
